لَا يَسْتَوِى الْقَاعِدُوْنَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ غَيْرُ اُولِى الضَّرَرِ وَالْمُجَاهِدُوْنَ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ بِاَمْوَالِهِمْ وَاَنْفُسِهِمْۗ فَضَّلَ اللّٰهُ الْمُجٰهِدِيْنَ بِاَمْوَالِهِمْ وَاَنْفُسِهِمْ عَلَى الْقٰعِدِيْنَ دَرَجَةً ۗ وَكُلًّا وَّعَدَ اللّٰهُ الْحُسْنٰىۗ وَفَضَّلَ اللّٰهُ الْمُجٰهِدِيْنَ عَلَى الْقٰعِدِيْنَ اَجْرًا عَظِيْمًاۙ ( النساء: ٩٥ )
La yastawee alqa'idoona mina almumineena ghayru olee alddarari waalmujahidoona fee sabeeli Allahi biamwalihim waanfusihim faddala Allahu almujahideena biamwalihim waanfusihim 'ala alqa'ideena darajatan wakullan wa'ada Allahu alhusna wafaddala Allahu almujahideena 'ala alqa'ideena ajran 'atheeman (an-Nisāʾ 4:95)

ईमानवालों में से वे लोग जो बिना किसी कारण के बैठे रहते है और जो अल्लाह के मार्ग में अपने धन और प्राणों के साथ जी-तोड़ कोशिश करते है, दोनों समान नहीं हो सकते। अल्लाह ने बैठे रहनेवालों की अपेक्षा अपने धन और प्राणों से जी-तोड़ कोशिश करनेवालों का दर्जा बढ़ा रखा है। यद्यपि प्रत्यके के लिए अल्लाह ने अच्छे बदले का वचन दिया है। परन्तु अल्लाह ने जी-तोड़ कोशिश करनेवालों का बड़ा बदला रखा है
English Sahih:
Not equal are those believers remaining [at home] – other than the disabled – and the mujahideen, [who strive and fight] in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives. Allah has preferred the mujahideen through their wealth and their lives over those who remain [behind], by degrees. And to all [i.e., both] Allah has promised the best [reward]. But Allah has preferred the mujahideen over those who remain [behind] with a great reward – ([4] An-Nisa : 95)

माज़ूर लोगों के सिवा जेहाद से मुंह छिपा के घर में बैठने वाले और ख़ुदा की राह में अपने जान व माल से जिहाद करने वाले हरगिज़ बराबर नहीं हो सकते (बल्कि) अपने जान व माल से जिहाद करने वालों को घर बैठे रहने वालें पर ख़ुदा ने दरजे के एतबार से बड़ी फ़ज़ीलत दी है (अगरचे) ख़ुदा ने सब ईमानदारों से (ख्वाह जिहाद करें या न करें) भलाई का वायदा कर लिया है मगर ग़ाज़ियों को खाना नशीनों पर अज़ीम सवाब के एतबार से ख़ुदा ने बड़ी फ़ज़ीलत दी है
