وَحَسِبُوْٓا اَلَّا تَكُوْنَ فِتْنَةٌ فَعَمُوْا وَصَمُّوْا ثُمَّ تَابَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ عَمُوْا وَصَمُّوْا كَثِيْرٌ مِّنْهُمْۗ وَاللّٰهُ بَصِيْرٌۢ بِمَا يَعْمَلُوْنَ ( المائدة: ٧١ )
Wahasiboo alla takoona fitnatun fa'amoo wasammoo thumma taba Allahu 'alayhim thumma 'amoo wasammoo katheerun minhum waAllahu baseerun bima ya'maloona (al-Māʾidah 5:71)

और उन्होंने समझा कि कोई आपदा न आएगी; इसलिए वे अंधे और बहरे बन गए। फिर अल्लाह ने उनपर दयादृष्टि की, फिर भी उनमें से बहुत-से अंधे और बहरे हो गए। अल्लाह देख रहा है, जो कुछ वे करते है
English Sahih:
And they thought there would be no [resulting] punishment, so they became blind and deaf. Then Allah turned to them in forgiveness; then [again] many of them became blind and deaf. And Allah is Seeing of what they do. ([5] Al-Ma'idah : 71)

और समझ लिया कि (इसमें हमारे लिए) कोई ख़राबी न होगी पस (गोया) वह लोग (अम्र हक़ से) अंधे और बहरे बन गए (मगर बावजूद इसके) जब इन लोगों ने तौबा की तो फिर ख़ुदा ने उनकी तौबा क़ुबूल कर ली (मगर) फिर (इस पर भी) उनमें से बहुतेरे अंधे और बहरे बन गए और जो कुछ ये लोग कर रहे हैं अल्लाह तो देखता है
