وَالَّذِيْنَ تَبَوَّءُو الدَّارَ وَالْاِيْمَانَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ يُحِبُّوْنَ مَنْ هَاجَرَ اِلَيْهِمْ وَلَا يَجِدُوْنَ فِيْ صُدُوْرِهِمْ حَاجَةً مِّمَّآ اُوْتُوْا وَيُؤْثِرُوْنَ عَلٰٓى اَنْفُسِهِمْ وَلَوْ كَانَ بِهِمْ خَصَاصَةٌ ۗوَمَنْ يُّوْقَ شُحَّ نَفْسِهٖ فَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُوْنَۚ ( الحشر: ٩ )
Waallatheena tabawwaoo alddara waaleemana min qablihim yuhibboona man hajara ilayhim wala yajidoona fee sudoorihim hajatan mimma ootoo wayuthiroona 'ala anfusihim walaw kana bihim khasasatun waman yooqa shuhha nafsihi faolaika humu almuflihoona (al-Ḥašr 59:9)

और उनके लिए जो उनसे पहले ही से हिजरत के घर (मदीना) में ठिकाना बनाए हुए है और ईमान पर जमे हुए है, वे उनसे प्रेम करते है जो हिजरत करके उनके यहाँ आए है और जो कुछ भी उन्हें दिया गया उससे वे अपने सीनों में कोई खटक नहीं पाते और वे उन्हें अपने मुक़ाबले में प्राथमिकता देते है, यद्यपि अपनी जगह वे स्वयं मुहताज ही हों। और जो अपने मन के लोभ और कृपणता से बचा लिया जाए ऐसे लोग ही सफल है
English Sahih:
And [also for] those who were settled in the Home [i.e.,al-Madinah] and [adopted] the faith before them. They love those who emigrated to them and find not any want in their breasts of what they [i.e., the emigrants] were given but give [them] preference over themselves, even though they are in privation. And whoever is protected from the stinginess of his soul – it is those who will be the successful. ([59] Al-Hashr : 9)

जो लोग मोहाजेरीन से पहले (हिजरत के) घर (मदीना) में मुक़ीम हैं और ईमान में (मुसतक़िल) रहे और जो लोग हिजरत करके उनके पास आए उनसे मोहब्बत करते हैं और जो कुछ उनको मिला उसके लिए अपने दिलों में कुछ ग़रज़ नहीं पाते और अगरचे अपने ऊपर तंगी ही क्यों न हो दूसरों को अपने नफ्स पर तरजीह देते हैं और जो शख़्श अपने नफ्स की हिर्स से बचा लिया गया तो ऐसे ही लोग अपनी दिली मुरादें पाएँगे
