ثَمٰنِيَةَ اَزْوَاجٍۚ مِنَ الضَّأْنِ اثْنَيْنِ وَمِنَ الْمَعْزِ اثْنَيْنِۗ قُلْ ءٰۤالذَّكَرَيْنِ حَرَّمَ اَمِ الْاُنْثَيَيْنِ اَمَّا اشْتَمَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ اَرْحَامُ الْاُنْثَيَيْنِۗ نَبِّئُوْنِيْ بِعِلْمٍ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِيْنَ ( الأنعام: ١٤٣ )
Thamaniyata azwajin mina alddani ithnayni wamina alma'zi ithnayni qul alththakarayni harrama ami alonthayayni amma ishtamalat 'alayhi arhamu alonthayayni nabbioonee bi'ilmin in kuntum sadiqeena (al-ʾAnʿām 6:143)

आठ नर-मादा पैदा किए - दो भेड़ की जाति से और दो बकरी की जाति से - कहो, 'क्या उसने दोनों नर हराम किए है या दोनों मादा को? या उसको जो इन दोनों मादा के पेट में हो? किसी ज्ञान के आधार पर मुझे बताओ, यदि तुम सच्चे हो।'
English Sahih:
[They are] eight mates – of the sheep, two and of the goats, two. Say, "Is it the two males He has forbidden or the two females or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Inform me with knowledge, if you should be truthful." ([6] Al-An'am : 143)

(क्यों कि) वह तो यक़ीनन तुम्हारा खुला हुआ दुश्मन है (ख़ुदा ने नर मादा मिलाकर) आठ (क़िस्म के) जोड़े पैदा किए हैं - भेड़ से (नर मादा) दो और बकरी से (नर मादा) दो (ऐ रसूल उन काफिरों से) पूछो तो कि ख़ुदा ने (उन दोनों भेड़ बकरी के) दोनों नरों को हराम कर दिया है या उन दोनों मादनियों को या उस बच्चे को जो उन दोनों मादनियों के पेट से अन्दर लिए हुए हैं
