وَلَوْ اَنَّ اَهْلَ الْقُرٰٓى اٰمَنُوْا وَاتَّقَوْا لَفَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ بَرَكٰتٍ مِّنَ السَّمَاۤءِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَلٰكِنْ كَذَّبُوْا فَاَخَذْنٰهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَكْسِبُوْنَ ( الأعراف: ٩٦ )
Walaw anna ahla alqura amanoo waittaqaw lafatahna 'alayhim barakatin mina alssamai waalardi walakin kaththaboo faakhathnahum bima kanoo yaksiboona (al-ʾAʿrāf 7:96)

यदि बस्तियों के लोग ईमान लाते और डर रखते तो अवश्य ही हम उनपर आकाश और धरती की बरकतें खोल देते, परन्तु उन्होंने तो झुठलाया। तो जो कुछ कमाई वे करते थे, उसके बदले में हमने उन्हें पकड़ लिया
English Sahih:
And if only the people of the cities had believed and feared Allah, We would have opened [i.e., bestowed] upon them blessings from the heaven and the earth; but they denied [the messengers], so We seized them for what they were earning. ([7] Al-A'raf : 96)

और वह बिल्कुल बेख़बर थे और अगर उन बस्तियों के रहने वाले ईमान लाते और परहेज़गार बनते तो हम उन पर आसमान व ज़मीन की बरकतों (के दरवाजे) ख़ोल देते मगर (अफसोस) उन लोगों ने (हमारे पैग़म्बरों को) झूठलाया तो हमने भी उनके करतूतों की बदौलत उन को (अज़ाब में) गिरफ्तार किया
