يٰبَنِىۡۤ اٰدَمَ قَدۡ اَنۡزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡكُمۡ لِبَاسًا يُّوَارِىۡ سَوۡاٰتِكُمۡ وَرِيۡشًا ؕ وَلِبَاسُ التَّقۡوٰى ۙ ذٰ لِكَ خَيۡرٌ ؕ ذٰ لِكَ مِنۡ اٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَذَّكَّرُوۡنَ(الأعراف :26)
يَٰبَنِىٓ
O Children
ءَادَمَ
(of) Adam!
قَدْ
Verily
أَنزَلْنَا
We have sent down
عَلَيْكُمْ
to you
لِبَاسًا
clothing
يُوَٰرِى
it covers
سَوْءَٰتِكُمْ
your shame
وَرِيشًاۖ
and (as) an adornment
وَلِبَاسُ
But the clothing
ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ
(of) [the] righteousness
ذَٰلِكَ
that
خَيْرٌۚ
(is) best
ذَٰلِكَ
That
مِنْ
(is) from
ءَايَٰتِ
(the) Signs
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
لَعَلَّهُمْ
so that they may
يَذَّكَّرُونَ
remember
Ya banee adama qad anzalna 'alaykum libasan yuwaree sawatikum wareeshan walibasu alttaqwa thalika khayrun thalika min ayati Allahi la'allahum yaththakkaroona
Sahih International:
O children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your private parts and as adornment. But the clothing of righteousness - that is best. That is from the signs of Allah that perhaps they will remember.
