وَلَا تُصَلِّ عَلٰٓى اَحَدٍ مِّنۡهُمۡ مَّاتَ اَبَدًا وَّلَا تَقُمۡ عَلٰى قَبۡرِهٖ ؕ اِنَّهُمۡ كَفَرُوۡا بِاللّٰهِ وَرَسُوۡلِهٖ وَمَاتُوۡا وَهُمۡ فٰسِقُوۡنَ(التوبة :84)
وَلَا
And not
تُصَلِّ
you pray
عَلَىٰٓ
for
أَحَدٍ
any
مِّنْهُم
of them
مَّاتَ
who dies
أَبَدًا
ever
وَلَا
and not
تَقُمْ
you stand
عَلَىٰ
by
قَبْرِهِۦٓۖ
his grave
إِنَّهُمْ
Indeed they
كَفَرُوا۟
disbelieved
بِٱللَّهِ
in Allah
وَرَسُولِهِۦ
and His Messenger
وَمَاتُوا۟
and died
وَهُمْ
while they were
فَٰسِقُونَ
defiantly disobedient
Wala tusalli 'ala ahadin minhum mata abadan wala taqum 'ala qabrihi innahum kafaroo biAllahi warasoolihi wamatoo wahum fasiqoona
Sahih International:
And do not pray [the funeral prayer, O Muhammad], over any of them who has died - ever - or stand at his grave. Indeed, they disbelieved in Allah and His Messenger and died while they were defiantly disobedient.
