وَقَالَ الَّذِى اشْتَرٰىهُ مِنْ مِّصْرَ لِامْرَاَتِهٖٓ اَكْرِمِيْ مَثْوٰىهُ عَسٰىٓ اَنْ يَّنْفَعَنَآ اَوْ نَتَّخِذَهٗ وَلَدًا ۗوَكَذٰلِكَ مَكَّنَّا لِيُوْسُفَ فِى الْاَرْضِۖ وَلِنُعَلِّمَهٗ مِنْ تَأْوِيْلِ الْاَحَادِيْثِۗ وَاللّٰهُ غَالِبٌ عَلٰٓى اَمْرِهٖ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ ( يوسف: ٢١ )
Wa qaalal lazish taraahu mim Misra limra atiheee akrimee maswaahu 'asaaa any-yanfa'anaaa aw nattakhizahoo waladaa; wa kazaalika mak-kannaa li-Yoosufa fil ardi wa linu'allimahoo min taaweelil ahaadees; wallaahu ghaalibun 'alaaa amrihee wa laakinna aksaran naasi laa ya'lamoon (Yūsuf 12:21)
English Sahih:
And the one from Egypt who bought him said to his wife, "Make his residence comfortable. Perhaps he will benefit us, or we will adopt him as a son." And thus, We established Joseph in the land that We might teach him the interpretation of events [i.e., dreams]. And Allah is predominant over His affair, but most of the people do not know. (Yusuf [12] : 21)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
ഈജിപ്തില് നിന്ന് അവനെ വാങ്ങിയവന് തന്റെ പത്നിയോടു പറഞ്ഞു: ''ഇവനെ നല്ല നിലയില് പോറ്റി വളര്ത്തുക. ഇവന് നമുക്കുപകരിച്ചേക്കാം. അല്ലെങ്കില് നമുക്കിവനെ നമ്മുടെ മകനായി കണക്കാക്കാം.'' അങ്ങനെ യൂസുഫിന് നാം അന്നാട്ടില് സൗകര്യമൊരുക്കിക്കൊടുത്തു. സ്വപ്നവ്യാഖ്യാനം അവനെ പഠിപ്പിക്കാന് കൂടിയാണത്. അല്ലാഹു തന്റെ തീരുമാനം കൃത്യമായി നടത്തുക തന്നെ ചെയ്യും. എങ്കിലും മനുഷ്യരിലേറെപ്പേരും അതറിയുന്നില്ല. (യൂസുഫ് [12] : 21)

ഈജിപ്തില് നിന്ന് അവനെ (യൂസുഫിനെ) വിലക്കെടുത്ത ആള് തന്റെ ഭാര്യയോട് പറഞ്ഞു: ഇവന്ന് മാന്യമായ താമസസൗകര്യം നല്കുക. അവന് നമുക്ക് പ്രയോജനപ്പെട്ടേക്കാം. അല്ലെങ്കില് നമുക്കവനെ മകനായി സ്വീകരിക്കാം. അപ്രകാരം യൂസുഫിന് നാം ആ ഭൂപ്രദേശത്ത് സൗകര്യമുണ്ടാക്കികൊടുത്തു. സ്വപ്നവാര്ത്തകളുടെ വ്യാഖ്യാനത്തില് നിന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് നാം അറിയിച്ച് കൊടുക്കാന് വേണ്ടിയും കൂടിയാണത്. അല്ലാഹു തന്റെ കാര്യം ജയിച്ചടക്കുന്നവനത്രെ. പക്ഷെ മനുഷ്യരില് അധികപേരും അത് മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നില്ല.
