قَالَ لَا يَأْتِيْكُمَا طَعَامٌ تُرْزَقٰنِهٖٓ اِلَّا نَبَّأْتُكُمَا بِتَأْوِيْلِهٖ قَبْلَ اَنْ يَّأْتِيَكُمَا ۗذٰلِكُمَا مِمَّا عَلَّمَنِيْ رَبِّيْۗ اِنِّيْ تَرَكْتُ مِلَّةَ قَوْمٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَهُمْ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ هُمْ كٰفِرُوْنَۙ ( يوسف: ٣٧ )
Qaala laa yaateekumaa ta'aamun turzaqaaniheee illaa nabbaatukumaa bitaaweelihee qabla any yaatiyakumaa; zaali kumaa mimmaa 'allamanee rabbee; innee taraktu millata qawmil laa yu'minoona billaahi wahum bil aakhirati hum kaafiroon (Yūsuf 12:37)
English Sahih:
He said, "You will not receive food that is provided to you except that I will inform you of its interpretation before it comes to you. That is from what my Lord has taught me. Indeed, I have left the religion of a people who do not believe in Allah, and they, in the Hereafter, are disbelievers. (Yusuf [12] : 37)

യൂസുഫ് പറഞ്ഞു: ''നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് തിന്നാനുള്ള അന്നം വന്നെത്തും മുമ്പെ ഞാനതിന്റെ പൊരുള് നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് വിവരിച്ചു തരാതിരിക്കില്ല. എനിക്കെന്റെ നാഥന് പഠിപ്പിച്ചുതന്നവയില്പ്പെട്ടതാണത്. അല്ലാഹുവില് വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തവരും പരലോകത്തെ നിഷേധിക്കുന്നവരുമായ ഈ ജനത്തിന്റെ മാര്ഗം ഞാന് കൈവെടിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു. (യൂസുഫ് [12] : 37)

അദ്ദേഹം (യൂസുഫ്) പറഞ്ഞു: നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് (കൊണ്ടുവന്ന്) നല്കപ്പെടാറുള്ള ഭക്ഷണം നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് വന്നെത്തുന്നതിന്റെ മുമ്പായി അതിന്റെ വ്യാഖ്യാനം ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് വിവരിച്ചുതരാതിരിക്കുകയില്ല. എന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവ് എനിക്ക് പഠിപ്പിച്ചുതന്നതില് പെട്ടതത്രെ അത്. അല്ലാഹുവില് വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തവരും പരലോകത്തെ നിഷേധിക്കുന്നവരുമായിട്ടുള്ളവരുടെ മാര്ഗം തീര്ച്ചയായും ഞാന് ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
