اِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةَ وَالدَّمَ وَلَحْمَ الْخِنْزِيْرِ وَمَآ اُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ اللّٰهِ بِهٖۚ فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَّلَا عَادٍ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ ( النحل: ١١٥ )
Innamaa harrma 'alai kumul maitata waddama wa lahmal khinzeeri wa maaa uhilla lighairil laahi bihee famanid turra ghaira baaghinw wa laa 'aadin fa innal laaha Ghafoorur Raheem (an-Naḥl 16:115)
English Sahih:
He has only forbidden to you dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah. But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit] – then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. (An-Nahl [16] : 115)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
ശവം, രക്തം, പന്നിമാംസം, അല്ലാഹു അല്ലാത്തവരുടെ പേരില് അറുക്കപ്പെട്ടത് ഇവ മാത്രമാണ് അല്ലാഹു നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് നിഷിദ്ധമാക്കിയത്. അഥവാ, ആരെങ്കിലും നിര്ബന്ധിതനായാല്, അവന് അതാഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവനോ അത്യാവശ്യത്തിലേറെ തിന്നുന്നവനോ അല്ലെങ്കില്, അല്ലാഹു ഏറെ പൊറുക്കുന്നവനും പരമകാരുണികനുമാകുന്നു. (അന്നഹ്ല് [16] : 115)

ശവം, രക്തം, പന്നിമാംസം, അല്ലാഹു അല്ലാത്തവരുടെ പേരില് പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കപ്പെട്ടത്[1] എന്നിവ മാത്രമേ അവന് (അല്ലാഹു) നിങ്ങളുടെ മേല് നിഷിദ്ധമാക്കിയിട്ടുള്ളൂ. വല്ലവനും (ഇവ ഭക്ഷിക്കുവാന്) നിര്ബന്ധിതനാകുന്ന പക്ഷം, അവന് അതിന് ആഗ്രഹം കാണിക്കുന്നവനോ അതിരുവിട്ട് തിന്നുന്നവനോ അല്ലെങ്കില് തീര്ച്ചയായും അല്ലാഹു ഏറെ പൊറുക്കുന്നവനും കരുണ ചൊരിയുന്നവനുമാകുന്നു.
