وَلَمَّا جَاۤءَهُمْ رَسُوْلٌ مِّنْ عِنْدِ اللّٰهِ مُصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ نَبَذَ فَرِيْقٌ مِّنَ الَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْكِتٰبَۙ كِتٰبَ اللّٰهِ وَرَاۤءَ ظُهُوْرِهِمْ كَاَنَّهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَۖ ( البقرة: ١٠١ )
Wa lammaa jaaa'ahum Rasoolum min 'indil laahi musaddiqul limaa ma'ahum nabaza fareequm minal lazeena ootul Kitaaba Kitaabal laahi waraaa'a zuhoorihim ka annahum laa ya'lamoon (al-Baq̈arah 2:101)
English Sahih:
And when a messenger from Allah came to them confirming that which was with them, a party of those who had been given the Scripture threw the Scripture of Allah [i.e., the Torah] behind their backs as if they did not know [what it contained]. (Al-Baqarah [2] : 101)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
അവരുടെ അടുത്ത് ദൈവദൂതന് വന്നെത്തി. അദ്ദേഹം അവരുടെ വശമുള്ളതിനെ സത്യപ്പെടുത്തുന്നവനായിരുന്നു. എന്നിട്ടും വേദം കിട്ടിയവരിലൊരുകൂട്ടര് ആ ദൈവികഗ്രന്ഥത്തെ പിറകോട്ട് വലിച്ചെറിഞ്ഞു. അവര്ക്കൊന്നും അറിയാത്തപോലെ. (അല്ബഖറ [2] : 101)
