وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُوْدُ لَيْسَتِ النَّصٰرٰى عَلٰى شَيْءٍۖ وَّقَالَتِ النَّصٰرٰى لَيْسَتِ الْيَهُوْدُ عَلٰى شَيْءٍۙ وَّهُمْ يَتْلُوْنَ الْكِتٰبَۗ كَذٰلِكَ قَالَ الَّذِيْنَ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ مِثْلَ قَوْلِهِمْ ۚ فَاللّٰهُ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ فِيْمَا كَانُوْا فِيْهِ يَخْتَلِفُوْنَ ( البقرة: ١١٣ )
Wa qaalatil Yahoodu laisatin Nasaaraa 'alaa shai'inw-wa qaalatin Nasaaraaa laisatil Yahoodu 'alaa shai'inw'wa hum yatloonal Kitaab; kazaalika qaalal lazeena la ya'lamoona mithla qawlihim Fallaahu yahkumu bainahum Yawmal Qiyaamati feemaa kaanoo feehi yakhtalifoon (al-Baq̈arah 2:113)
English Sahih:
The Jews say, "The Christians have nothing [true] to stand on," and the Christians say, "The Jews have nothing to stand on," although they [both] recite the Scripture. Thus do those who know not [i.e., the polytheists] speak the same as their words. But Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ. (Al-Baqarah [2] : 113)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
ക്രിസ്ത്യാനികള്‍ക്ക് ഒരടിസ്ഥാനവുമില്ലെന്ന് യഹൂദര്‍ പറയുന്നു. യഹൂദര്‍ക്ക് അടിസ്ഥാനമൊന്നുമില്ലെന്ന് ക്രിസ്ത്യാനികളും വാദിക്കുന്നു. അവരൊക്കെ വേദമോതുന്നവരാണുതാനും. വിവരമില്ലാത്ത ചിലരെല്ലാം മുമ്പും ഇവര്‍ വാദിക്കും വിധം പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്. അതിനാല്‍, അവര്‍ ഭിന്നിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങളില്‍ ഉയിര്‍ത്തെഴുന്നേല്‍പു നാളില്‍ അല്ലാഹു വിധി കല്‍പിക്കുന്നതാണ്. (അല്‍ബഖറ [2] : 113)

യഹൂദന്‍മാര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു; ക്രിസ്ത്യാനികള്‍ക്ക് യാതൊരു അടിസ്ഥാനവുമില്ലെന്ന്‌. ക്രിസ്ത്യാനികള്‍ പറഞ്ഞു; യഹൂദന്‍മാര്‍ക്ക് യാതൊരു അടിസ്ഥാനവുമില്ലെന്ന്‌. അവരെല്ലാവരും വേദഗ്രന്ഥം പാരായണം ചെയ്യുന്നവരാണ് താനും. അങ്ങനെ ഇവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞത് പോലെ തന്നെ വിവരമില്ലാത്ത ചിലരൊക്കെ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്. എന്നാല്‍ അവര്‍ തമ്മില്‍ ഭിന്നിക്കുന്ന വിഷയങ്ങളില്‍ ഉയിര്‍ത്തെഴുന്നേല്‍പിൻ്റെ നാളില്‍ അല്ലാഹു അവര്‍ക്കിടയില്‍ തീര്‍പ്പുകല്‍പിക്കുന്നതാണ്‌.
