۞ اَتَأْمُرُوْنَ النَّاسَ بِالْبِرِّ وَتَنْسَوْنَ اَنْفُسَكُمْ وَاَنْتُمْ تَتْلُوْنَ الْكِتٰبَ ۗ اَفَلَا تَعْقِلُوْنَ ( البقرة: ٤٤ )

أَتَأْمُرُونَ
Do you order
നിങ്ങള് കല്പിക്കുകയാണോ
l-nāsa
ٱلنَّاسَ
[the] people
മനുഷ്യരോട്
bil-biri
بِٱلْبِرِّ
[the] righteousness
പുണ്യ കാര്യത്തിനു
watansawna
وَتَنسَوْنَ
and you forget
നിങ്ങള് വിസ്മരിക്കുകയും
anfusakum
أَنفُسَكُمْ
yourselves
നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്വദേഹങ്ങളെ
wa-antum
وَأَنتُمْ
while you
നിങ്ങളാകട്ടെ
tatlūna
تَتْلُونَ
[you] recite
നിങ്ങള് പാരായണം ചെയ്യുന്നു
l-kitāba
ٱلْكِتَٰبَۚ
the Book?
വേദഗ്രന്ഥം
afalā
أَفَلَا
Then will not
അപ്പോള്
taʿqilūna
تَعْقِلُونَ
you use reason?
നിങ്ങള് ചിന്തിക്കുന്നില്ലേ
Ataamuroonan naasa bilbirri wa tansawna anfusakum wa antum tatloonal Kitaab; afalaa ta'qiloon (al-Baq̈arah 2:44)
English Sahih:
Do you order righteousness of the people and forget yourselves while you recite the Scripture? Then will you not reason? (Al-Baqarah [2] : 44)
