اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَالَّذِيْنَ هَادُوْا وَالنَّصٰرٰى وَالصَّابِــِٕيْنَ مَنْ اٰمَنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلَهُمْ اَجْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْۚ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُوْنَ ( البقرة: ٦٢ )
Innal lazeena aamanoo wallazeena haadoo wan nasaaraa was Saabi'eena man aamana billaahi wal yawmil aakhiri wa 'amila saalihan falahum ajruhum 'inda Rabbihim wa laa khawfun 'alaihim wa laa hum yahzanoon (al-Baq̈arah 2:62)
English Sahih:
Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Christians or Sabeans [before Prophet Muhammad (^)] – those [among them] who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness – will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve. (Al-Baqarah [2] : 62)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
സത്യവിശ്വാസം സ്വീകരിച്ചവരോ യഹൂദരോ ക്രൈസ്തവരോ സാബിഉകളോ ആരുമാവട്ടെ, അല്ലാഹുവിലും അന്ത്യദിനത്തിലും വിശ്വസിക്കുകയും സല്‍ക്കര്‍മങ്ങള്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് അവരുടെ നാഥന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ അര്‍ഹമായ പ്രതിഫലമുണ്ട്. അവര്‍ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതില്ല. ദുഃഖിക്കേണ്ടതുമില്ല. (അല്‍ബഖറ [2] : 62)

(മുഹമ്മദ് നബിയില്‍) വിശ്വസിച്ചവരോ, യഹൂദമതം സ്വീകരിച്ചവരോ, ക്രൈസ്തവരോ, സാബികളോ[1] ആരാകട്ടെ, അല്ലാഹുവിലും അന്ത്യദിനത്തിലും വിശ്വസിക്കുകയും, സല്‍കര്‍മ്മം പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ളവര്‍ക്ക് അവരുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിങ്കല്‍ അവര്‍ അര്‍ഹിക്കുന്ന പ്രതിഫലമുണ്ട്. അവര്‍ക്ക് ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതില്ല. അവര്‍ ദുഃഖിക്കേണ്ടി വരികയുമില്ല.
[1] പുരാതന അറേബ്യയിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഒരു മതവിഭാഗമായിരുന്നു സാബികള്‍. ദൈവവിശ്വാസികളായിരുന്നുവെങ്കിലും ജ്യോത്സ്യത്തിലും ഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ സ്വാധീനത്തിലുമൊക്കെ അവര്‍ വിശ്വാസമര്‍പ്പിച്ചിരുന്നുവത്രെ.
