فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِيْنَ يَكْتُبُوْنَ الْكِتٰبَ بِاَيْدِيْهِمْ ثُمَّ يَقُوْلُوْنَ هٰذَا مِنْ عِنْدِ اللّٰهِ لِيَشْتَرُوْا بِهٖ ثَمَنًا قَلِيْلًا ۗفَوَيْلٌ لَّهُمْ مِّمَّا كَتَبَتْ اَيْدِيْهِمْ وَوَيْلٌ لَّهُمْ مِّمَّا يَكْسِبُوْنَ ( البقرة: ٧٩ )
Fawailul lillazeena yaktuboonal kitaaba bi aydddhim summa yaqooloona haazaa min 'indil laahi liyashtaroo bihee samanan qaleelan fawilul lahum mimaa katabat aydeehim wa wailul lahum mimmaa yaksiboon (al-Baq̈arah 2:79)
English Sahih:
So woe to those who write the "scripture" with their own hands, then say, "This is from Allah," in order to exchange it for a small price. Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they earn. (Al-Baqarah [2] : 79)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
അതിനാല്‍ സ്വന്തം കൈകൊണ്ട് പുസ്തകമെഴുതി അത് അല്ലാഹുവില്‍നിന്നുള്ളതാണെന്ന് അവകാശപ്പെടുന്നവര്‍ക്കു നാശം! തുച്ഛമായ വില വാങ്ങാനാണ് അവരതു ചെയ്യുന്നത്. തങ്ങളുടെ കൈകൊണ്ട് എഴുതിയുണ്ടാക്കിയതിനാല്‍ അവര്‍ക്കു കൊടിയ ശിക്ഷയുണ്ട്! അവര്‍ സമ്പാദിച്ചതു കാരണവും അവര്‍ക്കു നാശം! (അല്‍ബഖറ [2] : 79)

എന്നാല്‍ സ്വന്തം കൈകള്‍ കൊണ്ട് ഗ്രന്ഥം എഴുതിയുണ്ടാക്കുകയും എന്നിട്ട് അത് അല്ലാഹുവിങ്കല്‍ നിന്ന് ലഭിച്ചതാണെന്ന് പറയുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവര്‍ക്കാകുന്നു നാശം. അത് മുഖേന വില കുറഞ്ഞ നേട്ടങ്ങള്‍ കരസ്ഥമാക്കാന്‍ വേണ്ടിയാകുന്നു (അവരിത് ചെയ്യുന്നത്.) അവരുടെ കൈകള്‍ എഴുതിയ വകയിലും അവര്‍ സമ്പാദിക്കുന്ന വകയിലും അവര്‍ക്ക് നാശം.
