اَلَمْ تَرَ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ كَيْفَ مَدَّ الظِّلَّۚ وَلَوْ شَاۤءَ لَجَعَلَهٗ سَاكِنًاۚ ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا الشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيْلًا ۙ ( الفرقان: ٤٥ )
alam tara
أَلَمْ تَرَ
Do you not see
നീ നോക്കുന്നില്ലേ, കാണുന്നില്ലേ
ilā rabbika
إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ
[to] your Lord
നിന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവിങ്കലേക്കു
kayfa
كَيْفَ
how
എങ്ങനെയാണ്
madda
مَدَّ
He extends
അവന്‍ വ്യാപിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു, നീട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നതു (എന്നു)
l-ẓila
ٱلظِّلَّ
the shadow?
നിഴലിനെ, തണലിനെ
walaw shāa
وَلَوْ شَآءَ
And if He willed
അവന്‍ ഉദ്ദേശിച്ചിരുന്നുവെങ്കില്‍
lajaʿalahu
لَجَعَلَهُۥ
surely He (could) have made it
അതിനെ അവന്‍ ആക്കുമായിരുന്നു
sākinan
سَاكِنًا
stationary
നിശ്ചലം, അടങ്ങിയതു
thumma
ثُمَّ
Then
പിന്നെ
jaʿalnā
جَعَلْنَا
We made
നാം ആക്കി
l-shamsa
ٱلشَّمْسَ
the sun
സൂര്യനെ
ʿalayhi
عَلَيْهِ
for it
അതിനു, അതിന്‍മേല്‍
dalīlan
دَلِيلًا
an indication
ലക്‌ഷ്യം, അടയാളം, അറിയിക്കുന്നതു
Alam tara ilaa Rabbika kaifa maddaz zilla wa law shaaa'a laja'alahoo saakinan summa ja'alnash shamsa 'alaihe daleelaa (al-Furq̈ān 25:45)
English Sahih:
Have you not considered your Lord – how He extends the shadow, and if He willed, He could have made it stationary? Then We made the sun for it an indication. (Al-Furqan [25] : 45)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
നിന്റെ നാഥനെക്കുറിച്ച് നീ ആലോചിച്ചുനോക്കിയിട്ടില്ലേ? എങ്ങനെയാണവന്‍ നിഴലിനെ നീട്ടിയിട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നതെന്ന്. അവനിച്ഛിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കില്‍ അതിനെ അവന്‍ ഒരേ സ്ഥലത്തുതന്നെ നിശ്ചലമാക്കുമായിരുന്നു. സൂര്യനെ നാം നിഴലിന് വഴികാട്ടിയാക്കി. (അല്‍ഫുര്‍ഖാന്‍ [25] : 45)
