۞ فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهٖٓ اِلَّآ اَنْ قَالُوْٓا اَخْرِجُوْٓا اٰلَ لُوْطٍ مِّنْ قَرْيَتِكُمْۙ اِنَّهُمْ اُنَاسٌ يَّتَطَهَّرُوْنَ ( النمل: ٥٦ )
famā kāna
فَمَا كَانَ
But not was
അപ്പോള്‍ ആയിരുന്നില്ല
jawāba qawmihi
جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِۦٓ
(the) answer (of) his people
തന്‍റെ ജനതയുടെ മറുപടി
illā an qālū
إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوٓا۟
except that they said
അവര്‍ പറയുകയല്ലാതെ
akhrijū
أَخْرِجُوٓا۟
"Drive out
നിങ്ങള്‍ പുറത്താക്കുക (ബഹിഷ്കരിക്കുക)
āla lūṭin
ءَالَ لُوطٍ
(the) family (of) Lut
ലൂത്തിന്‍റെ ആള്‍ക്കാരെ, കുടുംബത്തെ
min qaryatikum
مِّن قَرْيَتِكُمْۖ
from your town
നിങ്ങളുടെ രാജ്യത്തുനിന്നു
innahum
إِنَّهُمْ
Indeed they
നിശ്ചയമായും അവര്‍
unāsun
أُنَاسٌ
(are) people
ഒരു (തരം) മനുഷ്യരാണ്
yataṭahharūna
يَتَطَهَّرُونَ
who keep clean and pure
പരിശുദ്ധിയോടെ നടക്കുന്ന, ശുദ്ധത നടിക്കുന്ന
Fammaa kaana jawaaba qawmiheee illaaa an qaalooo akrijoon aalaa Lootim min qaryatikum innahum unaasuny yatatahharoon (an-Naml 27:56)
English Sahih:
But the answer of his people was not except that they said, "Expel the family of Lot from your city. Indeed, they are people who keep themselves pure." (An-Naml [27] : 56)

അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ജനതയുടെ മറുപടി അവരുടെ ഈ പറച്ചില്‍ മാത്രമായിരുന്നു: ''ലൂത്വിന്റെ ആള്‍ക്കാരെ നിങ്ങളുടെ നാട്ടില്‍ നിന്നും പുറത്താക്കുക. അവര്‍ വലിയ വിശുദ്ധി ചമയുകയാണ്.'' (അന്നംല് [27] : 56)
