اِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ عَلَا فِى الْاَرْضِ وَجَعَلَ اَهْلَهَا شِيَعًا يَّسْتَضْعِفُ طَاۤىِٕفَةً مِّنْهُمْ يُذَبِّحُ اَبْنَاۤءَهُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيٖ نِسَاۤءَهُمْ ۗاِنَّهٗ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُفْسِدِيْنَ ( القصص: ٤ )
Inna Fir'awna 'alaa fil ardi wa ja'ala ahlahaa shiya'ai yastad'ifu taaa'ifatam minhum yuzabbihu abnaaa'ahum wa yastahyee nisaaa'ahum; innahoo kaana minal mufsideen (al-Q̈aṣaṣ 28:4)
English Sahih:
Indeed, Pharaoh exalted himself in the land and made its people into factions, oppressing a sector among them, slaughtering their [newborn] sons and keeping their females alive. Indeed, he was of the corrupters. (Al-Qasas [28] : 4)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
ഫറവോന് നാട്ടില് അഹങ്കരിച്ചുനടന്നു. അന്നാട്ടുകാരെ വിവിധ വിഭാഗങ്ങളാക്കി. അവരിലൊരു വിഭാഗത്തെ പറ്റെ ദുര്ബലമാക്കി. അവരിലെ ആണ്കുട്ടികളെ അറുകൊല ചെയ്തു. പെണ്മക്കളെ ജീവിക്കാന് വിട്ടു. അവന് നാശകാരികളില് പെട്ടവനായിരുന്നു; തീര്ച്ച. (അല്ഖസ്വസ്വ് [28] : 4)

തീര്ച്ചയായും ഫിര്ഔന് നാട്ടില് ഔന്നത്യം നടിച്ചു. അവിടത്തുകാരെ അവന് വ്യത്യസ്ത കക്ഷികളാക്കിത്തീര്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. അവരില് ഒരു വിഭാഗത്തെ ദുര്ബലരാക്കിയിട്ട് അവരുടെ ആണ്മക്കളെ അറുകൊല നടത്തുകയും അവരുടെ പെണ്മക്കളെ ജീവിക്കാന് അനുവദിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ട്. തീര്ച്ചയായും അവന് നാശകാരികളില് പെട്ടവനായിരുന്നു.
