فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَهُمُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ عِنْدِنَا قَالُوْا لَوْلَآ اُوْتِيَ مِثْلَ مَآ اُوْتِيَ مُوْسٰىۗ اَوَلَمْ يَكْفُرُوْا بِمَآ اُوْتِيَ مُوْسٰى مِنْ قَبْلُۚ قَالُوْا سِحْرٰنِ تَظَاهَرَاۗ وَقَالُوْٓا اِنَّا بِكُلٍّ كٰفِرُوْنَ ( القصص: ٤٨ )
Falammaa jaaa'ahumul haqqu min 'indinaa qaaloo law laa ootiya misla maaa ootiyaa Moosaa; awalam yakfuroo bimaaa ootiya Moosaa min qablu qaaloo sihraani tazaaharaa wa qaalooo innaa bikullin kaafiroon (al-Q̈aṣaṣ 28:48)
English Sahih:
But when the truth came to them from Us, they said, "Why was he not given like that which was given to Moses?" Did they not disbelieve in that which was given to Moses before? They said, "[They are but] two works of magic supporting each other, and indeed we are, in both, disbelievers." (Al-Qasas [28] : 48)

എന്നാല് നമ്മില് നിന്നുള്ള സത്യം വന്നെത്തിയപ്പോള് അവര് പറഞ്ഞു: ''മൂസാക്കു ലഭിച്ചതുപോലുള്ള ദൃഷ്ടാന്തം ഇവനു കിട്ടാത്തതെന്ത്?'' എന്നാല് മൂസാക്കു ദൃഷ്ടാന്തം കിട്ടിയിട്ടും ജനം അദ്ദേഹത്തെ തള്ളിപ്പറയുകയല്ലേ ചെയ്തത്? അവര് പറഞ്ഞു: ''പരസ്പരം പിന്തുണക്കുന്ന രണ്ടു ജാലവിദ്യക്കാര്!'' അവര് ഇത്രകൂടി പറഞ്ഞു: ''ഞങ്ങളിതാ ഇതിനെയൊക്കെ തള്ളിപ്പറയുന്നു.'' (അല്ഖസ്വസ്വ് [28] : 48)

എന്നാല് നമ്മുടെ പക്കല് നിന്നുള്ള സത്യം (മുഹമ്മദ് നബി മുഖേന) അവര്ക്ക് വന്നെത്തിയപ്പോള് അവര് പറയുകയാണ്; മൂസായ്ക്ക് നല്കപ്പെട്ടത് പോലെയുള്ള ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങള് ഇവന്ന് നല്കപ്പെടാത്തത് എന്താണ് എന്ന്. എന്നാല് മുമ്പ് മൂസായ്ക്ക് നല്കപ്പെട്ടതില് അവര് അവിശ്വസിക്കുകയുണ്ടായില്ലേ? അവര് പറഞ്ഞു: പരസ്പരം പിന്തുണ നല്കിയ രണ്ടു ജാലവിദ്യകളാണിവ. ഞങ്ങള് ഇതൊക്കെ അവിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവരാണ് എന്നും അവര് പറഞ്ഞു.
