وَمَا كُنْتَ تَرْجُوْٓا اَنْ يُّلْقٰٓى اِلَيْكَ الْكِتٰبُ اِلَّا رَحْمَةً مِّنْ رَّبِّكَ فَلَا تَكُوْنَنَّ ظَهِيْرًا لِّلْكٰفِرِيْنَ ۖ ( القصص: ٨٦ )
wamā kunta
وَمَا كُنتَ
And not you were
നീ ആയിരുന്നില്ല, ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല
tarjū
تَرْجُوٓا۟
expecting
പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുക, ആഗ്രഹിക്കുക, അഭിലഷി ക്കുക
an yul'qā
أَن يُلْقَىٰٓ
that would be sent down
ഇട്ടുതരപ്പെടുമെന്ന്, കിട്ടുമെന്ന്, നല്‍കപ്പെടുന്നതു
ilayka
إِلَيْكَ
to you
നിനക്ക്, നിങ്കലേക്കു
l-kitābu
ٱلْكِتَٰبُ
the Book
ഗ്രന്ഥം, വേദഗ്രന്ഥം
illā raḥmatan
إِلَّا رَحْمَةً
except (as) a mercy
എങ്കിലും കാരുണ്യമായിട്ടു, അനുഗ്രഹമായിട്ടല്ലാതെ
min rabbika
مِّن رَّبِّكَۖ
from your Lord
നിന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവിങ്കല്‍നിന്നു
falā takūnanna
فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ
So (do) not be
അതിനാല്‍ തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നീ ആകരുത്
ẓahīran
ظَهِيرًا
an assistant
പിന്‍തുണ നല്‍കുന്നവന്‍ സഹായി, അരു നില്‍ക്കുന്നവന്‍
lil'kāfirīna
لِّلْكَٰفِرِينَ
to the disbelievers
അവിശ്വാസികള്‍ക്കു
Wa maa kunta tarjooo ai yulqaaa ilaikal Kitaabu illaa rahmatam mir Rabbika falaa takoonanna zaheeral lilkaafireen (al-Q̈aṣaṣ 28:86)
English Sahih:
And you were not expecting that the Book would be conveyed to you, but [it is] a mercy from your Lord. So do not be an assistant to the disbelievers. (Al-Qasas [28] : 86)

നിനക്ക് ഈ വേദപുസ്തകം ഇറക്കപ്പെടുമെന്ന് നീയൊരിക്കലും പ്രതീക്ഷിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല. നിന്റെ നാഥനില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള കാരുണ്യമാണിത്. അതിനാല്‍ നീ സത്യനിഷേധികള്‍ക്ക് തുണയാകരുത്. (അല്‍ഖസ്വസ്വ് [28] : 86)
