وَاِذَآ اَذَقْنَا النَّاسَ رَحْمَةً فَرِحُوْا بِهَاۗ وَاِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ ۢبِمَا قَدَّمَتْ اَيْدِيْهِمْ اِذَا هُمْ يَقْنَطُوْنَ ( الروم: ٣٦ )
wa-idhā adhaqnā
وَإِذَآ أَذَقْنَا
And when We cause men to taste
നാം ആസ്വദിപ്പിച്ചാല്‍
l-nāsa
ٱلنَّاسَ
We cause men to taste
മനുഷ്യര്‍ക്കു
raḥmatan
رَحْمَةً
mercy
വല്ല കാരുണ്യവും (അനുഗ്രഹവും)
fariḥū
فَرِحُوا۟
they rejoice
അവര്‍ ആഹ്ളാദിക്കും
bihā
بِهَاۖ
therein
അതില്‍, അതുമൂലം
wa-in tuṣib'hum
وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ
But if afflicts them
അവര്‍ക്കു ബാധിച്ചെങ്കില്‍
sayyi-atun
سَيِّئَةٌۢ
an evil
വല്ല തിന്‍മയും
bimā qaddamat
بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ
for what have sent forth
മുന്‍ചെയ്തതുകൊണ്ടു
aydīhim
أَيْدِيهِمْ
their hands
അവരുടെ കരങ്ങള്‍
idhā hum
إِذَا هُمْ
behold! They
അപ്പോഴതാ അവര്‍
yaqnaṭūna
يَقْنَطُونَ
despair
നിരാശപ്പെടുന്നു
Wa izaaa azaqnan naasa rahmatan farihoo bihaa wa in tusibhum sayyi'atum bimaa qaddamat aydeehim izaa hum yaqnatoon (ar-Rūm 30:36)
English Sahih:
And when We let the people taste mercy, they rejoice therein, but if evil afflicts them for what their hands have put forth, immediately they despair. (Ar-Rum [30] : 36)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
മനുഷ്യര്‍ക്കു നാം വല്ല അനുഗ്രഹവും അനുഭവിക്കാന്‍ അവസരം നല്‍കിയാല്‍ അതിലവര്‍ മതിമറക്കുന്നു. തങ്ങളുടെ തന്നെ കൈകള്‍ നേരത്തെ ചെയ്തുവെച്ചതു കാരണം വല്ല വിപത്തും ബാധിച്ചാലോ; അതോടെ അവരതാ പറ്റെ നിരാശരായിത്തീരുന്നു. (അര്‍റൂം [30] : 36)
