وَلَقَدْ كَانُوْا عَاهَدُوا اللّٰهَ مِنْ قَبْلُ لَا يُوَلُّوْنَ الْاَدْبَارَ ۗوَكَانَ عَهْدُ اللّٰهِ مَسْـُٔوْلًا ( الأحزاب: ١٥ )
walaqad kānū
وَلَقَدْ كَانُوا۟
And certainly they had
നിശ്ചയമായും അവര് ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്
ʿāhadū
عَٰهَدُوا۟
promised
അവര് ഉടമ്പടിചെയ്യുക (ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്)
l-laha
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
അല്ലാഹുവിനോടു
min qablu
مِن قَبْلُ
before before
മുമ്പു
lā yuwallūna
لَا يُوَلُّونَ
not they would turn
അവര് തിരിക്കുകയില്ലെന്നു
l-adbāra
ٱلْأَدْبَٰرَۚ
their backs
പിന്ഭാഗം
wakāna
وَكَانَ
And is
ആകുന്നു
ʿahdu l-lahi
عَهْدُ ٱللَّهِ
(the) promise (to) Allah
അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ (അല്ലാഹുവിനോടുള്ള) ഉടമ്പടി
masūlan
مَسْـُٔولًا
to be questioned
ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്നതു
Wa laqad kaanoo 'aahadul laaha min qablu laa yuwal loonal adbaar; wa kaana 'ahdul laahi mas'oolaa (al-ʾAḥzāb 33:15)
English Sahih:
And they had already promised Allah before not to turn their backs [i.e., flee]. And ever is the promise to Allah [that about which one will be] questioned. (Al-Ahzab [33] : 15)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
തങ്ങള് പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞോടുകയില്ലെന്ന് അവര് നേരത്തെ അല്ലാഹുവോട് കരാര് ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അല്ലാഹുവോടുള്ള കരാറിനെക്കുറിച്ച് അവരോട് ചോദിക്കുകതന്നെചെയ്യും. (അല്അഹ്സാബ് [33] : 15)
