وَاِذَا تُتْلٰى عَلَيْهِمْ اٰيٰتُنَا بَيِّنٰتٍ قَالُوْا مَا هٰذَآ اِلَّا رَجُلٌ يُّرِيْدُ اَنْ يَّصُدَّكُمْ عَمَّا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ اٰبَاۤؤُكُمْ ۚوَقَالُوْا مَا هٰذَآ اِلَّآ اِفْكٌ مُّفْتَرًىۗ وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لِلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاۤءَهُمْۙ اِنْ هٰذَآ اِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِيْنٌ ( سبإ: ٤٣ )
Wa izaa tutlaa 'alaihim Aayaatunaa baiyinaatin qaaloo maa haazaa illaa rajuluny yureedu ai-yasuddakum 'ammaa kaana ya'budu aabaaa'ukum wa qaaloo maa haazaaa illaaa ifkum muftaraa; wa qaalal lazeena kafaroo lilhaqqi lammaa jaaa'ahum in haazaaa illaa sihrum mubeen (Sabaʾ 34:43)
English Sahih:
And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, they say, "This is not but a man who wishes to avert you from that which your fathers were worshipping." And they say, "This is not except a lie invented." And those who disbelieve say of the truth when it has come to them, "This is not but obvious magic." (Saba [34] : 43)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
നമ്മുടെ വചനങ്ങള് വളരെ വ്യക്തമായി വായിച്ചുകേള്പ്പിച്ചാല് അവര് പറയും: ''ഇവനൊരു മനുഷ്യന് മാത്രമാണ്. നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് പൂജിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നതില്നിന്ന് നിങ്ങളെ തെറ്റിക്കാനാണ് ഇവനാഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നത്.'' അവര് ഇത്രകൂടി പറയുന്നു: ''ഈ ഖുര്ആന് കെട്ടിച്ചമച്ചുണ്ടാക്കിയ കള്ളം മാത്രമാണ്.'' തങ്ങള്ക്കു സത്യം വന്നെത്തിയപ്പോള് സത്യനിഷേധികള് പറഞ്ഞു: ''ഇതു വ്യക്തമായ മായാജാലം മാത്രമാണ്.'' (സബഅ് [34] : 43)

നമ്മുടെ ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങള് സ്പഷ്ടമായ നിലയില് അവര്ക്ക് ഓതി കേള്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടാല് അവര് (ജനങ്ങളോട്) പറയും: നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് ആരാധിച്ചു വന്നിരുന്നതില് നിന്ന് നിങ്ങളെ തടയുവാന് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന ഒരാള് മാത്രമാണിത്. ഇത് കെട്ടിച്ചമച്ചുണ്ടാക്കിയ കള്ളം മാത്രമാണ് എന്നും അവര് പറയും. തങ്ങള്ക്ക് സത്യം വന്നുകിട്ടിയപ്പോള് അതിനെപ്പറ്റി അവിശ്വാസികള് പറഞ്ഞു: ഇത് സ്പഷ്ടമായ ജാലവിദ്യ മാത്രമാകുന്നു.
