وَاِذَآ اَنْعَمْنَا عَلَى الْاِنْسَانِ اَعْرَضَ وَنَاٰ بِجَانِبِهٖۚ وَاِذَا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ فَذُوْ دُعَاۤءٍ عَرِيْضٍ ( فصلت: ٥١ )
wa-idhā anʿamnā
وَإِذَآ أَنْعَمْنَا
And when We bestow favor
നാം അനുഗ്രഹം ചെയ്താൽ
ʿalā l-insāni
عَلَى ٱلْإِنسَٰنِ
upon man
മനുഷ്യന്റെ മേൽ
aʿraḍa
أَعْرَضَ
he turns away
അവൻ തിരിഞ്ഞുകളയും
wanaā
وَنَـَٔا
and distances himself
അവൻ അകന്നു (ഒഴിഞ്ഞു) പോകയും ചെയ്യും
bijānibihi
بِجَانِبِهِۦ
and distances himself
അവന്റെ പാർശ്വവുമായി, പാർശ്വംകൊണ്ടു
wa-idhā massahu
وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ
but when touches him
അവനെ സ്പർശിച്ചാൽ, തൊട്ടാൽ
l-sharu
ٱلشَّرُّ
the evil
ദോഷം, തിന്മ
fadhū duʿāin
فَذُو دُعَآءٍ
then (he is) full (of) supplication
അപ്പോൾ പ്രാർത്ഥനക്കാരനായിരിക്കും
ʿarīḍin
عَرِيضٍ
lengthy
വിശാല (വിസ്തൃത)മായ
Wa izaaa an'amnaa 'alal insaani a'rada wa na-aa bijaani bihee wa izaa massahush sharru fazoo du'aaa'in 'areed (Fuṣṣilat 41:51)
English Sahih:
And when We bestow favor upon man, he turns away and distances himself; but when evil touches him, then he is full of extensive supplication. (Fussilat [41] : 51)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
മനുഷ്യന് നാം വല്ല ഔദാര്യവും ചെയ്യുമ്പോള് അവനത് അവഗണിക്കുന്നു. അഹന്ത നടിക്കുന്നു. വല്ല വിപത്തും അവനെ ബാധിച്ചാലോ, അവനതാ ദീര്ഘമായ പ്രാര്ഥനയിലേര്പ്പെടുന്നു. (ഹാമീം അസ്സജദ [41] : 51)
