ذٰلِكَ اَدْنٰٓى اَنْ يَّأْتُوْا بِالشَّهَادَةِ عَلٰى وَجْهِهَآ اَوْ يَخَافُوْٓا اَنْ تُرَدَّ اَيْمَانٌۢ بَعْدَ اَيْمَانِهِمْۗ وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاسْمَعُوْا ۗوَاللّٰهُ لَا يَهْدِى الْقَوْمَ الْفٰسِقِيْنَ ࣖ ( المائدة: ١٠٨ )
Zaalika adnaaa ai yaatoo bishshahaadati 'alaa wajhihaaa aw yakhaafooo an turadda aimaanum ba'da aimaanihim; wattaqul laaha wasma'oo; wallaahu laa yahdil qawmal faasiqeen (al-Māʾidah 5:108)
English Sahih:
That is more likely that they will give testimony according to its [true] objective, or [at least] they would fear that [other] oaths might be taken after their oaths. And fear Allah and listen [i.e., obey Him]; and Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people. (Al-Ma'idah [5] : 108)

ജനം യഥാവിധി സാക്ഷ്യം നിര്വഹിക്കാന് ഏറ്റം പറ്റിയ മാര്ഗം ഇതാണ്. അല്ലെങ്കില് തങ്ങളുടെ സത്യത്തിനുശേഷം മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ സത്യത്താല് തങ്ങള് ഖണ്ഡിക്കപ്പെടുമെന്ന് അവര് ഭയപ്പെടുകയെങ്കിലും ചെയ്യും. നിങ്ങള് അല്ലാഹുവെ സൂക്ഷിക്കുക. അവന്റെ കല്പനകള് കേട്ടനുസരിക്കുക. അധാര്മികരെ അല്ലാഹു നേര്വഴിയിലാക്കുകയില്ല. (അല്മാഇദ [5] : 108)

അവര് (സാക്ഷികള്) മുറപോലെ സാക്ഷ്യം വഹിക്കുന്നതിന് അതാണ് കൂടുതല് അനുയോജ്യമായിട്ടുള്ളത്. തങ്ങള് സത്യം ചെയ്തതിന് ശേഷം (അനന്തരാവകാശികള്ക്ക്) സത്യം ചെയ്യാന് അവസരം നല്കപ്പെടുമെന്ന് അവര്ക്ക് (സാക്ഷികള്ക്ക്) പേടിയുണ്ടാകുവാനും (അതാണ് കൂടുതല് ഉപകരിക്കുക.) നിങ്ങള് അല്ലാഹുവെ സൂക്ഷിക്കുകയും (അവന്റെ കല്പനകള്) ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക. ധിക്കാരികളായ ആളുകളെ അല്ലാഹു നേര്വഴിയിലാക്കുകയില്ല.
