وَقٰتِلُوْهُمْ حَتّٰى لَا تَكُوْنَ فِتْنَةٌ وَّيَكُوْنَ الدِّيْنُ لِلّٰهِ ۗ فَاِنِ انْتَهَوْا فَلَا عُدْوَانَ اِلَّا عَلَى الظّٰلِمِيْنَ ( البقرة: ١٩٣ )
Wa qaatiloohum hatta laa takoona fitnatunw wa yakoonad deenu lillaahi fa-inin tahaw falaa 'udwaana illaa 'alaz zaalimeen (al-Baq̈arah 2:193)
Abdul Hameed Baqavi:
அன்றி, (இஸ்லாமிற்கு எதிராக செய்யப்படும்) கலகம் (முற்றிலும்) நீங்கி, அல்லாஹ்வுடைய மார்க்கம் உறுதியாக நிலைபெறும் வரையில் அவர்களை எதிர்த்து போர் புரியுங்கள். ஆனால், அவர்கள் (கலகம் செய்யாது) விலகிக் கொண்டால் (அவர்களுக்கு மன்னிப்பு உண்டு). அநியாயம் செய்பவர்களைத் தவிர (மற்றவர்கள் மீது) அறவே அத்துமீறக்கூடாது.
English Sahih:
Fight them until there is no [more] fitnah and [until] religion [i.e., worship] is [acknowledged to be] for Allah. But if they cease, then there is to be no aggression [i.e., assault] except against the oppressors. ([2] Al-Baqarah : 193)
