وَقَالُوْا لَوْ شَاۤءَ الرَّحْمٰنُ مَا عَبَدْنٰهُمْ ۗمَا لَهُمْ بِذٰلِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ اِنْ هُمْ اِلَّا يَخْرُصُوْنَۗ ( الزخرف: ٢٠ )
And they say
وَقَالُوا۟
இன்னும் கூறுகின்றனர்
"If had willed
لَوْ شَآءَ
நாடியிருந்தால்
the Most Gracious
ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ
பேரருளாளன்
we would not have worshipped them" we would not have worshipped them"
مَا عَبَدْنَٰهُمۗ
நாம் அவர்களை வணங்கியிருக்க மாட்டோம்.
Not they have
مَّا لَهُم
இவர்களுக்கு இல்லை
about that
بِذَٰلِكَ
இதைப் பற்றி
any knowledge
مِنْ عِلْمٍۖ
எந்த அறிவும்
Nothing they (do)
إِنْ هُمْ
இவர்கள் இல்லை
but lie
إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ
தவிர/கற்பனை செய்கின்றவர்களே
Wa qaaloo law shaaa'ar Rahmaanu maa 'abadnaahum; maa lahum bizaalika min 'ilmin in hum illaa yakhrusoon (az-Zukhruf 43:20)
Abdul Hameed Baqavi:
தவிர, ரஹ்மான் நாடியிருந்தால் அவனையன்றி நாம் (மலக்குகளை) வணங்கியே இருக்கமாட்டோம் என்றும் அவர்கள் கூறுகின்றனர். அவர்கள் இவ்வாறு வீண் தர்க்கவாதம் செய்பவர்களேயன்றி, (செயலைப் பற்றி) அவர்களுக்கு யாதொரு அறிவும் இல்லை.
English Sahih:
And they said, "If the Most Merciful had willed, we would not have worshipped them." They have of that no knowledge. They are not but misjudging. ([43] Az-Zukhruf : 20)
