مَثَلُ الَّذِيْنَ حُمِّلُوا التَّوْرٰىةَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَحْمِلُوْهَا كَمَثَلِ الْحِمَارِ يَحْمِلُ اَسْفَارًاۗ بِئْسَ مَثَلُ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِيْنَ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ ۗوَاللّٰهُ لَا يَهْدِى الْقَوْمَ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ ( الجمعة: ٥ )
Masalul lazeena hum milut tawraata summa lam yahmiloonhaa kamasalil himaari yah milu asfaaraa; bi'sa masalul qawmil lazeena kaazzaboo bi aayaatil laah; wallaahu laa yahdil qawmazzaalimeen (al-Jumuʿah 62:5)
Abdul Hameed Baqavi:
"தவ்றாத்" என்னும் வேதத்தைச் சுமந்து கொண்டு, அதிலுள்ளபடி நடக்காதவர்களின் உதாரணம்: புத்தகங்களைச் சுமக்கும் கழுதையின் உதாரணத்தை ஒத்திருக்கின்றது. அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வசனங்களைப் பொய்யாக்கும் மக்களின் இவ்வுதாரணம் மகாகெட்டது. அல்லாஹ் இத்தகைய அநியாயக்கார மக்களை நேரான வழியில் செலுத்தமாட்டான்.
English Sahih:
The example of those who were entrusted with the Torah and then did not take it on is like that of a donkey who carries volumes [of books]. Wretched is the example of the people who deny the signs of Allah. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people. ([62] Al-Jumu'ah : 5)

எவர்கள் தவ்ராத் (வேதம்) சுமத்தப்பெற்று பின்னர் அதன்படி நடக்கவில்லையோ, அவர்களுக்கு உதாரணமாவது| ஏடுகளைச் சுமக்கும் கழுதையின் உதாரணத்திற்கு ஒப்பாகும்; எச்சமூகத்தார் அல்லாஹ்வின் வசனங்களைப் பொய்ப்பிக்கிறார்களோ அவர்களின் உதாரணம் மிகக் கெட்டதாகும் - அல்லாஹ் அநியாயக்கார சமூகத்தாரை நேர்வழியில் செலுத்தமாட்டான்.
