قَالَ اَلْقُوْاۚ فَلَمَّآ اَلْقَوْا سَحَرُوْٓا اَعْيُنَ النَّاسِ وَاسْتَرْهَبُوْهُمْ وَجَاۤءُوْ بِسِحْرٍ عَظِيْمٍ ( الأعراف: ١١٦ )
He said
قَالَ
கூறினார்
"Throw"
أَلْقُوا۟ۖ
எறியுங்கள்
Then when they threw
فَلَمَّآ أَلْقَوْا۟
அவர்கள் எறிந்தபோது
they bewitched
سَحَرُوٓا۟
மயக்கினார்கள்
(the) eyes
أَعْيُنَ
கண்களை
(of) the people
ٱلنَّاسِ
மக்களுடைய
and terrified them
وَٱسْتَرْهَبُوهُمْ
இன்னும் திடுக்கிடச் செய்தனர் அவர்களை
and came (up)
وَجَآءُو
இன்னும் வந்தனர்
with a magic
بِسِحْرٍ
ஒரு சூனியத்தைக்கொண்டு
great
عَظِيمٍ
பெரியது
Qaala alqoo falam maaa alqaw saharooo a'yunannaasi wastarhaboohum wa jaaa'oo bisihrin 'azeem (al-ʾAʿrāf 7:116)
Abdul Hameed Baqavi:
அதற்கு மூஸா "நீங்களே (முதலில்) எறியுங்கள்" என்று கூறினார். அவ்வாறு அவர்கள் எறிந்து மக்களுடைய கண்களைக் கட்டி அவர்கள் திடுக்கிடும்படியான மகத்தான சூனியத்தைச் செய்தனர்.
English Sahih:
He said, "Throw," and when they threw, they bewitched the eyes of the people and struck terror into them, and they presented a great [feat of] magic. ([7] Al-A'raf : 116)
