وَمَا مَنَعَنَآ اَنْ نُّرْسِلَ بِالْاٰيٰتِ اِلَّآ اَنْ كَذَّبَ بِهَا الْاَوَّلُوْنَۗ وَاٰتَيْنَا ثَمُوْدَ النَّاقَةَ مُبْصِرَةً فَظَلَمُوْا بِهَاۗ وَمَا نُرْسِلُ بِالْاٰيٰتِ اِلَّا تَخْوِيْفًا  ( الإسراء: ٥٩ )

We send
bil-āyāti
بِٱلْءَايَٰتِ
the Signs
illā
إِلَّآ
except
an
أَن

kadhaba
كَذَّبَ
denied
bihā
بِهَا
them
l-awalūna
ٱلْأَوَّلُونَۚ
the former (people)
waātaynā
وَءَاتَيْنَا
And We gave
thamūda
ثَمُودَ
Thamud
l-nāqata
ٱلنَّاقَةَ
the she-camel
mub'ṣiratan
مُبْصِرَةً
(as) a visible sign
faẓalamū
فَظَلَمُوا۟
but they wronged
bihā
بِهَاۚ
her
wamā
وَمَا
And not
nur'silu
نُرْسِلُ
We send
bil-āyāti
بِٱلْءَايَٰتِ
the Signs
illā
إِلَّا
except
takhwīfan
تَخْوِيفًا
(as) a warning

Wa maa mana'anaaa an nursila bil aayaati illaaa an kazzaba bihal awwaloon; wa aatainaa Samoodan naaqata mubsiratan fazalamoo bihaa; wa maa nursilu bil aayaati illaa takhweefaa (al-ʾIsrāʾ 17:59)

Sahih International:

And nothing has prevented Us from sending signs [i.e., miracles] except that the former peoples denied them. And We gave Thamud the she-camel as a visible sign, but they wronged her. And We send not the signs except as a warning. (Al-Isra [17] : 59)

1 Mufti Taqi Usmani

Nothing made us refrain from sending the signs (demanded by the pagans,) except that the earlier people had rejected them. (For example,) We gave Thamūd the she-camel, as an eye-opener, then they did wrong to her, and We do not send signs but as a warning.
