Al-Kahf Verse 91

So it was. And We truly had full knowledge of him.

So it was, and We had full knowledge about him.

So; and We encompassed in knowledge what was with him.

And so it was: We knew all about him.

Thus it was. And surely We have encompassed all that was with him, in knowledge

(He left them) as they were; We completely understood what was before him.

Thus was the state of those people, and We encompassed in knowledge all concerning Dhu al- Qarnayn.

It was so, for We were fully informed about him.

So it is; and Our knowledge encompasses all that he possessed.

So it was, and We were fully aware of whatever [means] he possessed.

So it was (such was their state and the extent of Dhu’l-Qarnayn’s power). We assuredly encompassed all concerning him in Our Knowledge.

That is how (it was). As for him, We alone had full knowledge of all that he had with him.

Like that, and We had comprehended/enveloped with what (is) at/near him (with) knowledge .

So it is; and Our knowledge encompasses all that he possessed.

Until when he reached the rising of the sun (furthest East), he found it rising upon a people to whom We had given no shelter there from.

So (it was)! And We knew all about him (Dhul-Qarnain).

Until, when he reached the (land of) the rising sun, he found it rising on a people to whom We had given no shelter from it --

Even so! and We had a full knowledge of what he had.

So (it was). And We knew all concerning him.

This indeed was true. We knew all that he did there.

So, We encompassed in knowledge what was with him.

So (it was)! And We knew all about him (Dhul-Qarnayn).

Thus indeed it was. We had full knowledge of him.

And so it was. We had full knowledge of what he had.

So [it was], in other words, the situation was as We have stated; and We encompassed whatever pertained to him, that is, what Dh'l-Qarnayn possessed in the way of machinery, men and otherwise, in knowledge.

So (it was)!

And We knew all about him.

Mujahid and As-Suddi said,

"This means that Allah knew everything about him and his army, and nothing was hidden from Him, even though they came from so many different nations and lands. For,

لَا يَخْفَى عَلَيْهِ شَىْءٌ فِي الااٌّرْضِ وَلَا فِى السَّمَأءِ

Truly, nothing is hidden from Allah, in the earth or in the heaven. (3;5)
