وَقَالُوْا كُوْنُوْا هُوْدًا اَوْ نَصٰرٰى تَهْتَدُوْا ۗ قُلْ بَلْ مِلَّةَ اِبْرٰهٖمَ حَنِيْفًا ۗوَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِيْنَ   ( البقرة: ١٣٥ )

نَصَٰرَىٰ
Christians
tahtadū
تَهْتَدُوا۟ۗ
(then) you will be guided"
qul
قُلْ
Say
bal
بَلْ
"Nay
millata
مِلَّةَ
(the) religion
ib'rāhīma
إِبْرَٰهِۦمَ
(of) Ibrahim
ḥanīfan
حَنِيفًاۖ
(the) upright;
wamā
وَمَا
and not
kāna
كَانَ
he was
mina
مِنَ
of
l-mush'rikīna
ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
those who associated partners (with Allah)"

Wa qaaloo koonoo Hoodan aw Nasaaraa tahtadoo; qul bal Millata Ibraaheema Haneefanw wa maa kaana minal mushrikeen (al-Baq̈arah 2:135)

Sahih International:

They say, "Be Jews or Christians [so] you will be guided." Say, "Rather, [we follow] the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth, and he was not of the polytheists." (Al-Baqarah [2] : 135)

1 Mufti Taqi Usmani

They said, “Become Jews or Christians, and you will find the right path.” Say: “Instead, (we follow) the faith of Ibrāhīm, the upright, - and he was not one of those who associate partners with Allah.”
