قَالَ
He said,
kallā
كَلَّاۖ
"Nay,
fa-idh'habā
فَٱذْهَبَا
go both of you
biāyātinā
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآۖ
with Our Signs.
innā
إِنَّا
Indeed, We
maʿakum
مَعَكُم
(are) with you,
mus'tamiʿūna
مُّسْتَمِعُونَ
listening.

Qaala kallaa fazhabaa bi Aayaatinaaa innaa ma'akum mustami'oon

Sahih International:

[Allah] said, "No. Go both of you with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening.

God said, ‘No [they will not]. Go, both of you, with Our signs––We shall be with you, listen-ing.

Allah said; "By no means! proceed then, both of you, with Our Signs; We are with you, and will listen (to your call).

He said: "Certainly not! So go both of you with Our Signs. We shall be with you listening to everything.

(It was) said: "By no means. Go with My signs, both of you. I am verily with you and I hear.

He said, “Not like this (any more); both of you go with Our signs, We are with you, All Hearing.”

He said, ‘Certainly not! Let both of you go with Our signs: We will indeed be with you, hearing [everything].

(God) said: "Not so, indeed! Go forth, then, the two of you, with Our miraculous signs (with which I have provided you). We will surely be with you all (you and them), listening attentively (to all that is to happen between you).

(The Lord) said, `That shall not be, go then both of you, with Our Messages and We are assuredly with you listening (to your prayers).

He said: "No but, so you (B) go/go away with Our verses/evidences/signs, that We are with you hearing/listening."

He said: 'Never so, go both of you with Our signs; We shall be with you, listening

(Allah) said: "Nay! Go you both with Our signs. Verily, We shall be with you, listening."

God said, "Indeed not; go both of you with Our signs, We shall be with you, listening [to your call].

He said, “No. Go, both of you, with Our proofs. We will be with you, listening.

23 Tafsir jalalayn

Said He, exalted be He; `Certainly not!, they shall not slay you. Go both of you, you and your brother -- this address [although in the dual form] is predominantly for the person present as opposed to the absent one -- with Our signs. We will indeed be with you, hearing, what you say and what is said to you (ma`akum; the two [Moses and Aaron] are referred to here with the plural pronoun).

24 Tafseer Ibn Kathir

قَالَ كَلَّ

(Allah) said;"Nay!..."

Allah told him;do not be afraid of anything like that.

This is like the Ayah,

سَنَشُدُّ عَضُدَكَ بِأَخِيكَ وَنَجْعَلُ لَكُمَا سُلْطَـناً


Allah said;"We will strengthen your arm through your brother, and give you both power, (meaning, proof);

فَلَ يَصِلُونَ إِلَيْكُمَا بِـْايَـتِنَأ أَنتُمَا وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَكُمَا الْغَـلِبُونَ

so they shall not be able to harm you, with Our signs, you two as well as those who follow you will be the victors. (28;35)

فَاذْهَبَا بِأيَاتِنَا إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّسْتَمِعُونَ



Go you both with Our signs. Verily, We shall be with you, listening.

This is like the Ayah,

إِنَّنِى مَعَكُمَأ أَسْمَعُ وَأَرَى

I am with you both, hearing and seeing. (20;46)
Meaning, `I will be with you by My protection, care, support and help.'

فَأْتِيَا فِرْعَوْنَ فَقُولَاأ إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
