An-Naml Verse 83

˹Watch for˺ the Day We will gather from every faith-community a group of those who denied Our revelations, and they will be driven in ranks.

And [beware of] the Day when We will gather from every nation a group of those who used to reject Our verses, and they will be driven in ranks.

Upon the day when We shall muster out of every nation a troop of those that cried lies to Our signs, duly disposed,

The Day will come when We gather from every community a crowd of those who disbelieved in Our signs and they will be led in separate groups

And remind them of the Day whereon We shall Rather from every community a troop of those who belied Our signs, and they shall be held in order.

One day We shall gather together from every people a troop of those who reject our Signs, and they shall be kept in ranks,-

Just imagine the Day when We shall muster from every nation a large group of those who gave the lie to Our Signs, and they shall be duly arranged in ranks

The day We shall gather from every community a section of those who denied Our signs, and they will be brought (in separate groups),

And the Day when We will raise from every nation an army that denies Our signs – so the former groups will be held back for the latter to join them.

On that day We shall resurrect from every nation a group of those who denied Our signs, and they will be held in check.

A Day (will come) when We will raise up and gather from every community a host of those who denied Our Revelations and signs (which establish the truth of all the essentials of faith), and they will be set in array (and driven to the place of reckoning)

And (remind them of) the day when We shall gather together from every people a large group of those who cried lies to Our Messages; then they shall be arranged in separate columns.

And a day/time We gather from every nation a group/crowd from who denies/falsifies with Our verses/evidences , so they are being restrained/apportioned .

And the Day when We will raise from every nation an army that denies Our signs – so the former groups will be held back for the latter to join them.

And when the word is fulfiled against them We will bring forth a beast out of the earth (gross materialism?) that shall speak to (or wound) them, because mankind had not faith in Our revelations.

And (remember) the Day when We shall gather out of every nation a troop of those who denied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and (then) they (all) shall be gathered (and driven to the place of reckoning),

Nor canst thou lead the blind out of their error. Thou canst make none to hear except those who believe in Our messages, so they submit.

And on the day when We will gather from every nation a party from among those who rejected Our communications, then they shall be formed into groups.

And (remind them of) the Day when We shall gather out of every nation a host of those who denied Our revelations, and they will be set in array;

On the day when We resurrect from every nation a group from among those who had rejected Our revelations, they will be kept confined in ranks.

On that Day We shall gather a crowd from every nation of those who belied Our verses, so they are gathered.

And (remember) the Day when We shall gather out of every nation a Fawj of those who denied Our Ayat, and they shall be driven,

On that Day We shall assemble together a host from every community of those who cried lies to Our revelations and they will be grouped

On the Day when We gather from every community a group of those who rejected Our revelations; and they will be restrained.

And, mention, the day when We shall gather from every community a group of those who denied Our signs, namely, their leaders, the ones [whom they] followed, and they will be set in array, assembled, with the last of them brought together with the first and then led away,

Gathering the Wrongdoers on the Day of Resurrection

Allah tells us about the Day of Resurrection when the wrongdoers who disbelieved in the signs and Messengers of Allah will be gathered before Allah, so that He will ask them about what they did in this world, rebuking, scolding and belittling them.

وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ فَوْجًا



And the Day when We shall gather out of every nation, a Fawj,

means, from every people and generation a group.

مِّمَّن يُكَذِّبُ بِأيَاتِنَا

of those who denied Our Ayat.

This is like the Ayat;

احْشُرُواْ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ وَأَزْوَجَهُمْ

"Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils)." (37;22)

وَإِذَا النُّفُوسُ زُوِّجَتْ

And when the souls are joined with their bodies. (81;7)

فَهُمْ يُوزَعُونَ



and they shall be driven,

Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, said;

"They will be pushed."

Abdur-Rahman bin Zayd bin Aslam said;

"They will be driven.
