Ali 'Imran Verse 12

˹O Prophet!˺ Tell the disbelievers, “Soon you will be overpowered and driven to Hell—what an evil place to rest!”

Say to those who disbelieve: “You will soon be defeated and gathered into Hell. What a terrible resting place!”

Say to the unbelievers: 'You shall be overthrown, and mustered into Gehenna -- an evil cradling!'

[Prophet], say to the disbelievers, ‘You will be defeated and driven together into Hell, a foul resting place.

Say thou unto those who disbelieve: anon shall ye be overcome, and gathered unto Hell--an evil couch!

Say to those who reject Faith; "Soon will ye be vanquished and gathered together to Hell,-an evil bed indeed (to lie on)!

Tell those who disbelieved: 'You shall soon be overpowered and mustered to Hell - and that is an evil resting place!'

So tell the disbelievers: "You will surely be subdued and driven to Hell: How bad a preparation!"

Say (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) to the disbelievers, “Very soon you shall be overcome and driven towards hell; and that is a wretched resting-place.”

Say to the faithless, ‘You shall be overcome and mustered toward hell, and it is an evil resting place.’

Say (O Messenger) to those who disbelieve: "You will soon be overpowered and gathered into Hell!" – How evil a cradle it is!

Say to those who disbelieve, `You shall soon be overcome and gathered together to be driven towards Gehenna. What an evil abode it is!´

Say to those who disbelieved: "You will be defeated/conquered , and be gathered to Hell , and how/what (is) the bad/low ground .

Say (O dear Prophet Mohammed - peace and blessings be upon him) to the disbelievers, “Very soon you shall be overcome and driven towards hell; and that is a wretched resting-place.”

Say to those who disbelieve, "Soon you shall be overcome and driven together to Hell, an evil bed will it be.

Say (O Muhammad SAW) to those who disbelieve: "You will be defeated and gathered together to Hell, and worst indeed is that place to rest."

And when the hypocrites and those in whose hearts was a disease began to say: Allah and His Messenger did not promise us (victory) but only to deceive.

Say to those who disbelieve: You shall be vanquished, and driven together to hell; and evil is the resting-place.

Say (O Muhammad) unto those who disbelieve: Ye shall be overcome and gathered unto Hell, an evil resting-place.

(Muhammad), tell the unbelievers that they will soon be defeated and driven into Hell, a terrible dwelling.

Say to those who disbelieve: 'You shall be overcome and gathered into Gehenna (Hell), an evil cradling'

Say to those who disbelieve: "You will be defeated and gathered together to Hell, and worst indeed is that place of rest."

Say to those who deny the truth, "You shall be overcome and driven into Hell -- an evil resting place!"

Say to those who disbelieve, “You will be defeated, and rounded up into Hell—an awful resting-place.”

When the Prophet (s) enjoined the Jews to enter into Islam, after his return from Badr, they said, `Do not fool yourself just because you killed a few men of Quraysh, inexperienced and knowing nothing about fighting', whereupon the following was revealed; Say, O Muhammad (s), to the disbelievers, from among the Jews, `You shall be vanquished (sa-tughlabn, or [read] sa-yughlabn, `they shall be vanquished'), in this world, through being killed or taken captive and made to pay the jizya (which actually took place), and mustered, ([read] in both ways [wa-tuhsharna, `you will be mustered', or wa-yuhsharna, `they will be mustered']), in the Hereafter, to Hell, which you shall enter -- an evil cradling!', [an evil] resting place.

Threatening the Jews With Defeat and Encouraging Them to Learn a Lesson From the Battle of Badr

Allah commands the Prophet Muhammad to;

قُل لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ

Say to those who disbelieve;

Allah commanded the Prophet Muhammad to proclaim to the disbelievers.

سَتُغْلَبُونَ

You will be defeated, (in this life),

وَتُحْشَرُونَ

And gathered together, (on the Day of Resurrection),

إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ وَبِيْسَ الْمِهَادُ



to Hell, and worst indeed is that place of rest.

Muhammad bin Ishaq bin Yasar recorded that Asim bin Umar bin Qatadah said that;

when the Messenger of Allah gained victory in the battle of Badr and went back to Al-Madinah, he gathered the Jews in the marketplace of Bani Qaynuqa.

Therefore, Allah said
