Qaf Verse 5

In fact, they reject the truth when it has come to them, so they are in a confused state.[[ Meaning, they are confused about the Prophet (ﷺ): some say he is a poet, some say he is a fabricator, while others say he is insane. They also rejected the Quran as poetry, magic, or ancient fables.]] 

Rather they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are in a state of confusion.

Nay, but they cried lies to the truth when it came to them, and so they are in a case confused.

But the disbelievers deny the truth when it comes to them; they are in a state of confusion.

Aye! they belie the truth when it cometh Unto them; wherefore they are in an affair confused.

But they deny the Truth when it comes to them; so they are in a confused state.

They gave the lie to the Truth when it came to them. So they are now in a state of great perplexity.

But no! They called the truth a lie when it came to them; so they are in a confused state.

In fact they denied the Truth when it came to them, so they are now in a dilemma.

Indeed, they denied the truth when it came to them; so they are now in a perplexed state of affairs.

Rather, they have denied the truth when it has come to them (and done so willfully and persistently), so they are in a dire state (utterly confused about how to explain their rejection, and about how to prevent the acceptance of others).

Nay, (the truth of the matter is that) they denied the truth when it came to them, and so they are in a state of confusion.

But they lied/denied/falsified with the truth when (it) came to them, so they are (in a) confusing/disturbing , matter/affair .

In fact they denied the Truth when it came to them, so they are now in a dilemma.

Nay, they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are now in a state of confusion.

Nay, but they have denied the truth (this Quran) when it has come to them, so they are in a confused state (can not differentiate between right and wrong).

We know indeed what the earth diminishes of them and with Us is a book that preserves.

Nay, they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are (now) in a state of confusion.

Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case.

In fact, they have rejected the truth that has come to them, thus, they live in confusion.

Rather, they belied the truth when it came to them, and now they are in a state of confusion.

Nay, but they have denied the truth when it has come to them, so they are in a Marij state.

But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a state of confusion.

But they denied the truth when it has come to them, so they are in a confused state.

Nay, but they denied the truth, the Qur'n, when it came to them and so they, with regard to the Prophet (s) and the Qur'n, are [now] in a confounded situation, a troubled [one]. [For] on one occasion they said [that he was], `A sorcerer!' [cf. Q. 38;4] and [that his statements were] `[Nothing but manifest] sorcery!' [cf. Q. 37;15], on another, `A poet!' [cf. Q. 21;5] and `Poetry!' [cf. Q. 36;69], and still on another, `A soothsayer!' [cf. Q. 52;29] and [that his statements were nothing more than] soothsaying [cf. Q. 69;42].

Nay, but they have denied the truth when it has come to them, so they are in a Marij state.

This is the state of all those who defy the Truth;whatever they say and utter after denying the Truth, is utterly false.
Marij means, in disarray, in a confused state and defying the characteristics of the Truth.

Allah the Exalted said in other Ayah,

إِنَّكُمْ لَفِى قَوْلٍ مُّخْتَلِفٍ

يُوْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ أُفِكَ

Certainly, you have different ideas. Turned aside therefrom is he who is turned aside. (51;8-9
