Adh-Dhariyat Verse 41

And in ˹the story of˺ ’Âd ˹was another lesson,˺ when We sent against them the devastating wind.[[ lit., ‘a barren wind,’ since the wind was not productive—it did not carry rain or fertilize trees.]]

And [there is a sign in the story of] ‘Ād, when We sent against them the devastating barren wind.

And also in Ad, when We loosed against them the withering wind

There is another sign in the Ad: We sent the life-destroying wind against them

And in `A-ad also was a lesson, when We sent against them the barren wind.

And in the 'Ad (people) (was another Sign); Behold, We sent against them the devastating Wind;

There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Ad, when We let loose upon them an ominous wind

In 'Ad (also is a sign), when We sent a blasting wind against them,

And in the tribe of A’ad, when we sent a dry windstorm upon them.

And in ‘Ad when We unleashed upon them a barren wind.

And in (the exemplary history of the tribe of) ‘Ad also (there is a clear sign), when We sent upon them the devastating wind.

And (there is a sign) in (the destruction of the Tribe of) `âd, when We let loose on them the destructive wild-blowing wind.

And in Aad, when We sent on them the wind/breeze, the infertile/sterile .

And in the tribe of A’ad, when we sent a dry windstorm upon them.

And in A´ad (was another sign). When We sent upon them the destructive wind.

And in 'Ad (there is also a sign) when We sent against them the barren wind;

So We seized him and his hosts and hurled them into the sea, and he was blameable.

And in Ad: When We sent upon them the destructive wind.

And in (the tribe of) A'ad (there is a portent) when we sent the fatal wind against them.

There is also evidence of the Truth in the story of Ad whom We struck with a violent wind

And in Aad. We let loose on them a withering wind

And in `Ad when We sent against them the barren wind;

There is another sign in the [tribe of] 'Ad, when We sent against them a life-destroying wind

And in Aad. We unleashed against them the devastating wind.

And [also] in, the destruction of, `d, was a sign, when We unleashed against them a barren wind, [a wind] which brings nothing of good, for it does not bear any rain and does not pollinate any trees; this [wind] was the west wind (al-dabr).

And in `Ad when We sent against them the barren wind!

that destroys everything and produces nothing.

This was said by Ad-Dahhak, Qatadah and others.
