وَكَمْ مِّنْ مَّلَكٍ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ لَا تُغْنِيْ شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَيْـًٔا اِلَّا مِنْۢ بَعْدِ اَنْ يَّأْذَنَ اللّٰهُ لِمَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ وَيَرْضٰى   ( النجم: ٢٦ )

(the) Angels
فِى

l-samāwāti
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the heavens

تُغْنِى
will avail
shafāʿatuhum
شَفَٰعَتُهُمْ
their intercession
shayan
شَيْـًٔا
anything
illā
إِلَّا
except
min
مِنۢ
after
baʿdi
بَعْدِ
after
an
أَن
[that]
yadhana
يَأْذَنَ
Allah has given permission
l-lahu
ٱللَّهُ
Allah has given permission
liman
لِمَن
for whom
yashāu
يَشَآءُ
He wills
wayarḍā
وَيَرْضَىٰٓ
and approves

Wa kam mim malakin fissamaawaati laa tughnee shafaa'atuhum shai'an illaa mim ba'di anyyaazanal laahu limany yashaaa'u wa yardaa (an-Najm 53:26)

Sahih International:

And how many angels there are in the heavens whose intercession will not avail at all except [only] after Allah has permitted [it] to whom He wills and approves. (An-Najm [53] : 26)

1 Mufti Taqi Usmani

How many angels there are in the heavens whose intercession cannot benefit (any one) at all, but after Allah allows (it) for whomsoever He wills and pleases.
