اِنَّآ اَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ صَيْحَةً وَّاحِدَةً فَكَانُوْا كَهَشِيْمِ الْمُحْتَظِرِ  ( القمر: ٣١ )

innā
إِنَّآ
Indeed We
arsalnā
أَرْسَلْنَا
[We] sent
ʿalayhim
عَلَيْهِمْ
upon them
ṣayḥatan
صَيْحَةً
thunderous blast
wāḥidatan
وَٰحِدَةً
single
fakānū
فَكَانُوا۟
and they became
kahashīmi
كَهَشِيمِ
like dry twig fragments
l-muḥ'taẓiri
ٱلْمُحْتَظِرِ
(used by) a fence builder

Innaaa arsalnaa 'alaihim saihatanw waahidatan fakaano kahasheemil muhtazir (al-Q̈amar 54:31)

Sahih International:

Indeed, We sent upon them one shriek [i.e., blast from the sky], and they became like the dry twig fragments of an [animal] pen. (Al-Qamar [54] : 31)

We sent upon them a single Cry, and they were like crushed leafs of a hedge-builder.
