لِّكَيْلَا
So that you may not
tasaw
تَأْسَوْا۟
grieve
ʿalā
عَلَىٰ
over
مَا
what
fātakum
فَاتَكُمْ
has escaped you,
walā
وَلَا
and (do) not
tafraḥū
تَفْرَحُوا۟
exult
bimā
بِمَآ
at what
ātākum
ءَاتَىٰكُمْۗ
He has given you.
wal-lahu
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
لَا
(does) not
yuḥibbu
يُحِبُّ
love
kulla
كُلَّ
every
mukh'tālin
مُخْتَالٍ
self-deluded
fakhūrin
فَخُورٍ
boaster,

Likailaa taasaw 'alaa maa faatakum wa laa tafrahoo bimaaa aataakum; wallaahu laa yuhibbu kulla mukhtaalin fakhoor

Sahih International:

In order that you not despair over what has eluded you and not exult [in pride] over what He has given you. And Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful –
