Al-Haqqah Verse 3

And what will make you realize what the Inevitable Hour is?

How do you know what the Inevitable Hour is?

And what will teach thee what is the Indubitable?

What will explain to you what the Inevitable Hour is?

And what shall make thee know that which the Inevitable Calamity is.

And what will make thee realise what the Sure Reality is?

And what do you know what that indubitable event is?

What do you comprehend by the concrete reality?

And what have you understood, how tremendous the true event is!

What will show you what is the Besieger?!

And what enables you to perceive what the Sure Reality is?

(Before it actually takes place) you know little (what it is) and what should make you know what that great inevitable reality is?

And what makes you know what (is) the disaster/catastrophe/reality ?

And what have you understood, how tremendous the true event is!

And what would make you realize what the sure Reality is?

And what will make you know what the Reality is?

Then as for Thamud, they were destroyed by the severe punishment.

And what would make you realize what the sure calamity is!

Ah, what will convey unto thee what the reality is!

Would that you knew (in detail) what the Inevitable is!

What makes you to know what the Resurrection Verifier is?

And what will make you know what Al-Haqqah is

And what will make you realize what the Inevitable Hour is?

What will make you understand what the Reality is?

And how would you know what the Reality is? ([repeated as] an extra emphasis of its enormity; the first m [of the previous verse] is the subject, the second one, its predicate; the second m and its predicate also function as the second direct object of [the verb] `knowing').

And what will make you know what Al-Haqqah is?
Mention of the Destruction of the Nations

Then Allah mentions the destruction of the nations that denied the Resurrection. He says,

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ وَعَادٌ بِالْقَارِعَةِ
