ثُمَّ بَدَّلْنَا مَكَانَ السَّيِّئَةِ الْحَسَنَةَ حَتّٰى عَفَوْا وَّقَالُوْا قَدْ مَسَّ اٰبَاۤءَنَا الضَّرَّاۤءُ وَالسَّرَّاۤءُ فَاَخَذْنٰهُمْ بَغْتَةً وَّهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُوْنَ   ( الأعراف: ٩٥ )

ٱلْحَسَنَةَ
the good

حَتَّىٰ

ʿafaw
عَفَوا۟
they increased
waqālū
وَّقَالُوا۟
and said
qad
قَدْ
"Verily
massa
مَسَّ
(had) touched
ābāanā
ءَابَآءَنَا
our forefathers
l-ḍarāu
ٱلضَّرَّآءُ
the adversity
wal-sarāu
وَٱلسَّرَّآءُ
and the ease"
fa-akhadhnāhum
فَأَخَذْنَٰهُم
So We seized them
baghtatan
بَغْتَةً
suddenly
wahum
وَهُمْ
while they
لَا
(did) not
yashʿurūna
يَشْعُرُونَ
perceive

Summa baddalnaa makaa nas saiyi'atil hasanata hattaa 'afaw wa qaaloo qad massa aabaa'anad darraaa'u wassarraaa'u fa akhaznaahum baghtatanw wa hum laa yash'uroon (al-ʾAʿrāf 7:95)

Sahih International:

Then We exchanged in place of the bad [condition], good, until they increased [and prospered] and said, "Our fathers [also] were touched with hardship and ease." So We seized them suddenly while they did not perceive. (Al-A'raf [7] : 95)

Thereafter, We substituted good in place of evil until they increased, and said, “Hardship and prosperity came to our fathers (too).” Then We seized them suddenly while they were not aware.
