Al-Balad Verse 8

Have We not given them two eyes,

Have We not given him two eyes,

Have We not appointed to him two eyes,

Did We not give him eyes,

Have We not, made for him two eyes

Have We not made for him a pair of eyes?-

Did We not grant him two eyes,

Did We not give him two eyes,

Did We not make two eyes for him?

Have We not made for him two eyes,

Have We not made for him a pair of eyes,

Have We not given him two eyes (to distinguish right from wrong);

Did We not make/create for him two eyes?

Did We not make two eyes for him?

Have We not made for him two eyes

Have We not made for him a pair of eyes?

And a tongue and two lips,

Have We not given him two eyes,

Did We not assign unto him two eyes

Have We not given him two eyes,

Have We not given him two eyes,

Have We not made for him two eyes

Have We not given him two eyes,

Did We not give him two eyes?

Have We not given (an interrogative meant as an affirmative, in other words, `We have [certainly] given') him two eyes,

Have We not made for him two eyes,

meaning, for him to see with them
