حَتّٰىٓ اِذَا بَلَغَ مَطْلِعَ الشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَطْلُعُ عَلٰى قَوْمٍ لَّمْ نَجْعَلْ لَّهُمْ مِّنْ دُوْنِهَا سِتْرًا ۙ ( الكهف: ٩٠ )
ḥattā
حَتَّىٰٓ
Until
jusqu’à-ce que,
idhā
إِذَا
when
quand
balagha
بَلَغَ
he reached
il a atteint
maṭliʿa
مَطْلِعَ
(the) rising place
(l’)endroit du lever
l-shamsi
ٱلشَّمْسِ
(of) the sun
(du) soleil,
wajadahā
وَجَدَهَا
and he found it
il l’a trouvé
taṭluʿu
تَطْلُعُ
rising
(dans l’état où) il se levait
ʿalā
عَلَىٰ
on
sur
qawmin
قَوْمٍ
a community
des gens
lam
لَّمْ
not
(qui) ne pas
najʿal
نَجْعَل
We made
Nous avons fait
lahum
لَّهُم
for them
pour eux
min
مِّن
against it
contre lui
dūnihā
دُونِهَا
against it
contre lui
sit'ran
سِتْرًا
any shelter
(de) protection.
Hattaaa izaa balagha matli'ash shamsi wajdahaa tatlu'u alaa qawmil lam naj'al lahum min doonihaa sitraa (al-Kahf 18:90)
English Sahih:
Until, when he came to the rising of the sun [i.e., the east], he found it rising on a people for whom We had not made against it any shield. (Al-Kahf [18] : 90)

Et quand il eut atteint le Levant, il trouva que le soleil se levait sur une peuplade à laquelle Nous n'avions pas donné de voile pour s'en protéger. (Al-Kahf [18] : 90)
