فَاَكَلَا مِنْهَا فَبَدَتْ لَهُمَا سَوْاٰتُهُمَا وَطَفِقَا يَخْصِفٰنِ عَلَيْهِمَا مِنْ وَّرَقِ الْجَنَّةِۚ وَعَصٰٓى اٰدَمُ رَبَّهٗ فَغَوٰى ۖ ( طه: ١٢١ )
Fa akalaa minhaa fabadat lahumaa saw aatuhumaa wa tafiqaa yakhsifaani 'alaihimaa minw waraqil jannah; wa 'asaaa Aadamu Rabbahoo faghawaa (Ṭāʾ Hāʾ 20:121)
English Sahih:
And they [i.e., Adam and his wife] ate of it, and their private parts became apparent to them, and they began to fasten over themselves from the leaves of Paradise. And Adam disobeyed his Lord and erred. (Taha [20] : 121)

Tous deux (Adam et Eve) en mangèrent. Alors leur apparut leur nudité. Ils se mirent à se couvrir avec des feuilles du paradis. Adam désobéit ainsi à son Seigneur et il s'égara. (Ta-Ha [20] : 121)

Adam et Eve mangèrent alors des fruits de l’arbre qui leur avait été défendu et ils prirent conscience de leur nudité. Ils se mirent à la couvrir à l’aide des feuilles des arbres du Paradis. C’est ainsi qu’Adam désobéit à l’ordre de son Seigneur et outrepassa la limite de ce qui lui était permis.
