قَالُوْا لَنْ نَّبْرَحَ عَلَيْهِ عٰكِفِيْنَ حَتّٰى يَرْجِعَ اِلَيْنَا مُوْسٰى ( طه: ٩١ )
qālū
قَالُوا۟
They said
Ils ont dit :
lan
لَن
"Never
« Jamais
nabraḥa
نَّبْرَحَ
we will cease
nous (ne) quitterons
ʿalayhi
عَلَيْهِ
being devoted to it
(d’être) à lui
ʿākifīna
عَٰكِفِينَ
being devoted to it
dévoués
ḥattā
حَتَّىٰ
until
jusqu’à-ce que
yarjiʿa
يَرْجِعَ
returns
retourne
ilaynā
إِلَيْنَا
to us
à nous
mūsā
مُوسَىٰ
Musa"
Moïse ! »
Qaaloo lan nabraha 'alaihi 'aakifeena hattaa yarji'a ilainaa Moosaa (Ṭāʾ Hāʾ 20:91)
English Sahih:
They said, "We will never cease being devoted to it [i.e., the calf] until Moses returns to us." (Taha [20] : 91)
Muhammad Hamidullah:
Ils dirent: «Nous continuerons à y être attachés, jusqu'à ce que Moïse retourne vers nous». (Ta-Ha [20] : 91)
