قَالُوْا فَأْتُوْا بِهٖ عَلٰٓى اَعْيُنِ النَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْهَدُوْنَ ( الأنبياء: ٦١ )
qālū
قَالُوا۟
They said
Ils ont dit :
fatū
فَأْتُوا۟
"Then bring
« Amenez alors
bihi
بِهِۦ
him
[] lui
ʿalā
عَلَىٰٓ
before
devant
aʿyuni
أَعْيُنِ
(the) eyes
(les) yeux
l-nāsi
ٱلنَّاسِ
(of) the people
(des) gens
laʿallahum
لَعَلَّهُمْ
so that they may
afin que peut-être ils
yashhadūna
يَشْهَدُونَ
bear witness"
témoignerons. »
Qaaloo faatoo bihee 'alaaa a'yunin naasi la'allahum yash hadoon (al-ʾAnbiyāʾ 21:61)
English Sahih:
They said, "Then bring him before the eyes of the people that they may testify." (Al-Anbya [21] : 61)
Muhammad Hamidullah:
Ils dirent: «Amenez-le sous les yeux des gens afin qu'ils puissent témoigner. (Al-Anbiya' [21] : 61)
