يُعَذِّبُ مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ وَيَرْحَمُ مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ ۚوَاِلَيْهِ تُقْلَبُوْنَ ( العنكبوت: ٢١ )

He punishes
Il châtie
man
مَن
whom
quiconque
yashāu
يَشَآءُ
He wills
Il veut
wayarḥamu
وَيَرْحَمُ
and has mercy
et fait miséricorde
man
مَن
(on) whom
(à) quiconque
yashāu
يَشَآءُۖ
He wills
Il veut.
wa-ilayhi
وَإِلَيْهِ
and to Him
Et vers Lui
tuq'labūna
تُقْلَبُونَ
you will be returned
vous serez retournés.
Yu'azzibu many yashaaa'u wa yarhamu many yashaaa'; wa ilaihi tuqlaboon (al-ʿAnkabūt 29:21)
English Sahih:
He punishes whom He wills and has mercy upon whom He wills, and to Him you will be returned. (Al-'Ankabut [29] : 21)
Muhammad Hamidullah:
Il châtie qui Il veut et fait miséricorde à qui Il veut; et c'est vers Lui que vous serez ramenés. (Al-'Ankabut [29] : 21)

Par Sa justice, Il châtie qui Il veut et Il fait miséricorde à qui Il veut par Sa grâce. C’est vers Lui Seul que vous retournerez le Jour de la Résurrection afin de rendre des comptes lorsqu’Il vous ressuscitera vivants de vos tombes
