وَاَنْ لَّيْسَ لِلْاِنْسَانِ اِلَّا مَا سَعٰىۙ ( النجم: ٣٩ )
wa-an
وَأَن
And that
et que

لَّيْسَ
is not
n’est pas
lil'insāni
لِلْإِنسَٰنِ
for man
pour l’humain
illā
إِلَّا
except
sauf
mā
مَا
what
ce (pour) quoi
saʿā
سَعَىٰ
he strives (for)
il met de l’effort
Wa al laisa lil insaani illaa maa sa'aa (an-Najm 53:39)
English Sahih:
And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives (An-Najm [53] : 39)
Muhammad Hamidullah:
et qu'en vérité, l'homme n'obtient que [le fruit] de ses efforts; (An-Najm [53] : 39)
