فَلَمَّا اسْتَا۟يْـَٔسُوْا مِنْهُ خَلَصُوْا نَجِيًّاۗ قَالَ كَبِيْرُهُمْ اَلَمْ تَعْلَمُوْٓا اَنَّ اَبَاكُمْ قَدْ اَخَذَ عَلَيْكُمْ مَّوْثِقًا مِّنَ اللّٰهِ وَمِنْ قَبْلُ مَا فَرَّطْتُّمْ فِيْ يُوْسُفَ فَلَنْ اَبْرَحَ الْاَرْضَ حَتّٰى يَأْذَنَ لِيْٓ اَبِيْٓ اَوْ يَحْكُمَ اللّٰهُ لِيْۚ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الْحٰكِمِيْنَ ( يوسف: ٨٠ )
Falamma istayasoo minhu khalasoo najiyyan qala kabeeruhum alam ta'lamoo anna abakum qad akhatha 'alaykum mawthiqan mina Allahi wamin qablu ma farrattum fee yoosufa falan abraha alarda hatta yathana lee abee aw yahkuma Allahu lee wahuwa khayru alhakimeena (Yūsuf 12:80)

तो जब से वे उससे निराश हो गए तो परामर्श करने के लिए अलग जा बैठे। उनमें जो बड़ा था, वह कहने लगा, 'क्या तुम जानते नहीं कि तुम्हारा बाप अल्लाह के नाम पर तुमसे वचन ले चुका है और उसको जो इससे पहले यूसुफ़ के मामले में तुमसे क़सूर हो चुका है? मैं तो इस भू-भाग से कदापि टलने का नहीं जब तक कि मेरे बाप मुझे अनुमति न दें या अल्लाह ही मेरे हक़ में कोई फ़ैसला कर दे। और वही सबसे अच्छा फ़ैसला करनेवाला है
English Sahih:
So when they had despaired of him, they secluded themselves in private consultation. The eldest of them said, "Do you not know that your father has taken upon you an oath by Allah and [that] before you failed in [your duty to] Joseph? So I will never leave [this] land until my father permits me or Allah decides for me, and He is the best of judges. ([12] Yusuf : 80)

फिर जब यूसुफ की तरफ से मायूस हुए तो बाहम मशवरा करने के लिए अलग खड़े हुए तो जो शख़्श उन सब में बड़ा था (यहूदा) कहने लगा (भाइयों) क्या तुम को मालूम नहीं कि तुम्हार वालिद ने तुम लोगों से ख़ुदा का एहद करा लिया था और उससे तुम लोग यूसुफ के बारे में क्या कुछ ग़लती कर ही चुके हो तो (भाई) जब तक मेरे वालिद मुझे इजाज़त (न) दें या खुद ख़ुदा मुझे कोई हुक्म (न) दे मै उस सर ज़मीन से हरगिज़ न हटूंगा और ख़ुदा तो सब हुक्म देने वालो से कहीं बेहतर है
